Well known for his crazy off-stage play, strong edgeguards and even stronger opinions, Eric “ESAM” Lew is considered to be one of the best, if not the best Pikachu in the world. Now, as one of the big summer events approaches, we will be following ESAM as he prepares for the second installment of Super Smash Con.

Welcome back to another installment of the Character Showcase! After a long break, we are back in action, this time analyzing a long-time veteran of the Smash franchise and a fan-favorite, Power Suit Samus.

For this edition, we received help from Johnny Westside, considered to be the best Samus main in the world, as well as Tonetta, a Samus player from the Michigan area. Also, special thanks to TheFalconer, who helped in contacting these players.

After the break, we made some changes to the series. Rather than splitting general and character-specific techniques, we'll analyze all of the character's options and how to use them effectively. So, with that said, let's dive in!

It's been more than a year since Smash 4 came out, and many things have happened since then. The early 3DS days, the rise and fall of Diddy Kong, low tier buffs, new stages and most importantly, new characters. Since the release of the game, a lot of advanced techniques have been discovered that have revolutionized the fundamental gameplay. Some carried over from Brawl and some were brand new, but all of them changed the game we play.

Last weekend, we covered Smash @ Tier 3, a Mexican regional that took place in Mexico City, the home of some of Mexico's best. Players like Javi, Richi, D~Pollo and even Regi, who flew directly from Guadalajara, were confirmed to attend. Leo, a local to the area and the #1 ranked Smasher in the country, was also present. He was the favorite to take the tournament, but he encountered opposition from his cousin Serge, a young Lucario player.
