I'm level 3 in brawl and melee, though really close to 4 in melee just needed some friends that play competitely and attend some tournies:urg:

The only advice I think I can give is to try to use other moves in the regular AAA combo e.g AA->utilt, AA->dsmash etc. And also he/she should work on spacing I noticed that he was way too close to your marth most of the time which led to a lot of damage. hope it helps:)

I use the GC controller with default setup mainly because if I change anything on the controller its really hard to get used to it because I played melee so much.
