  • lol, I'm still waiting a bit

Just in case it ends up being a complete flop, I want to wait till I'm halfway through where I KNOW it's gonna be complete
Iunno, like a couple of days

I just started the 1st round, only for me to lose to somebody who's played the multiplayer thing for the first time :urg:

I really did lose practice in my years absence, which is why Ima start practicing more
    Ah it's alright bro :p

Wow... 2 weeks? I'm guessing you have taht same forgetting problem I have
Naw, I'm talking about the fact that you actually GOT the blue name.

It looks so smexy, I can't wait to get my own until my tourney's over :lick:
Well, I'm sure it shouldn't matter TOO much...

And yeah, it's so CRAZY!!! It made me laugh for at least 3 minutes !!
Oh, I see. And yeah, Pit is a good character, the only change I really know of is that his F throw launches people farther.

I actually don't like how the slow down Pit's arrows when you shoot them upwards. But I wouldn't mind trying it out. The most craziest change is Kamikaze Jigglypuff!!!! Shield break= Nuclear Explosion!!!

Well, to get homebrew, all you'd have to do (I think) is use the Wii's internet channel. Search for homebrew on google. It should have a link that goes to the HomeBrew website. After you're on their, just click download. I don't have it yet, but that's what I think you would have to do.
vBrawl means the original Brawl, right? I do think that the original is the best. I mean, the developers didn't put those physics in the original for nothing. But it's nice to experience different versions of it once in a while. I'm actually pretty excited to get Balanced Brawl. I just hope Pit can still rock and Marth can still spike. I hope they don't tone down characters too much.

Have you heard of Brawl minus, though? It changes the game way more than Brawl + and Balanced Brawl combined. It's almost like a whole different game 0_0. Jigglypuff is actually the scariest character in that hacked version.
Blegh, fail. Yes, I meant Balanced Brawl.

True. It is frusterating not being able to complete Dancing Blade and be left completely open -_-...
I once tried to make MK my secondary, didn't work at all. I just don't get MK's moveset.
Well, yeah, MK is ahead of all the characters. At least Basic Brawl corrects that. By the way, I'm thinking of getting Basic Brawl this week. But I still need to get an SD card for the game and an SD card to transfer all my Custom Stages to.

Yup :(. It's the only sad thing about Marth :(.
I tried, but I can't ever seem to get the hang of MK .
Is MK banned so much because of his Infinite Cape glitch?

Well, yes, but Pit also shares being my best with Marth. It's kind of hard to explain, but I'm really good with Pit and Marth that I can't really call either better than the other. But in lag, Pit is better -_-... Marth just doesn't do good in lag...
    That's good ^__^!

Well, SKy says my Marth has gotten better. Although, I can't seem to beat SKy's MK with Marth...
well the 3GS was 8 gigs and is only 100 now.
4 is 16 gigs (smaller) and is 200 so if you think about it it hasn't changed, just the size, the price goes with the size, 32 gigs is 300, which is a great deal.
lol I gave somebody my brawl disk so they could hack their wii and unbrick it
Windwalker sounds like Wind Waker btw
and It's just until my premium is about to expire, then I'll switch back...
so all I can really do on my wii is play my GBA emulator.
Kirby and the amazing mirror is great.
Yeah I know, I just found all their stuff.
I'll play you (once I get my brawl disk back)
I know Balanced Brawl doesn't have Wave Dashing, but it looked VERY much like it. Platform cancelling sounds like a really good strategy for spacing, though.

I plan to learn more about Marth's matchups this summer, when I have time. And it would be the same for me, just saying common sense. But we can still talk about it if you'd like ^__^.

I figured you didn't come up with it yourself (and I didn't mean to say that you did ), but it's still a simpler way to say it. Sammy made me laugh when she called me DS . Ever since then, my nickname has reminded me of my Nintedo DS and vice versa .

I'm going to sleep too. It's past 3 where I am, so you're lucky I stayed up this late ^__^. Fun talking with you as well ^__^! Goodnight!
Yeah, but at least you can still make Falco look dumb by cancelling his illusion with a Jab ^__^.

And your Welcome for the Wolf speech ^__^. Sorry I ranted for so long . And yeah, we should. But the unfortuneate thing is, is that I don't know much about other Matchups with Marth. I'm seriously in trouble, since I only really know a lot about his match ups against the space animalse (Again, I don't like them so I learn how to fight them first). I know more about matchups with Pit than with Marth, but I plan to look at the Marth boards more often this summer.
Good combo vid ^__^! One thing I did notice, though, is how he waited for Snake to have an opening in his Grenad rain, or wait for Snake to approach him (lol, Snakes and their Grenades . Snake players make snake go through a lot of pain). Once he saw a pattern, Mr. R starts getting more aggessive. He has excellent spacing too. But I could have sworn I saw Mr. R. wave dash on to the platform, or am I just imagining it? Are they playing Balanced Brawl by any chance?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R60jkCxaDdM&feature=related This one's a year younger. I'll try to find a more recent one (what surprises me is that Wolf barely has any combo vids, so it might take a while).

And I just tested whether or not Marth's Jab cancels Wolf's laser. Unfortuneatly, it does not :(. But there are still ways to get around it.

And sorry to here your Wii's still not fixed :(. Don't worry, though, you'll be able to Brawl again in no time ^__^! And thanks for the vid, watching it now!
Here is a combo video of Wolf: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9GYH5XeisY. It might help you understand his game more.

And with Marth's Jab, I honestly don't know if you can do that, but I will look into it now.

And yeah, it's really usefull to gimp them, since their UpB's leave them so vulnerable ^__^. I haven't figured out all the ways to use db1 (thanks for suggesting an easier way to say it ^__^). I'll try to see if I can find a video of that Mr. R.

And if you have a Wii#... Does that mean you have internet connection now!!!! And your Wii's fixed!!?? Can we Brawl tomorrow? We should do it now before curcumstance keeps us from Brawling again !
I don't think you can cancel the Lupine's laser with Marth's Jab. I'll look into it, though. The only move the space animals have that I know you can cancel is Falco's illusion attack. If you use Marths Jab when he uses it, it cancels Falco's illusion, making him vulnerable. I usually play Pit in these matchups because he has a reflector. But I use Marth too ^__^.
Your welcome, I glad it helped ^__^!!

Oh, you already knew about it. It's an amazing move isn't it? I found it out completely by accident .

And I only have one Vid of me and SKy. Our matches are so epic that it always exceeds two minutes (**** TWO MINUTE TIME CAP! If only I could get the unlimitted hack I could record WAY more videos). If you want me to send them, I need your Wii #. I'll tell you mine in a sec.
Again, make sure to use it to stop Wolf from recovering. Since Wolf's stall is shorter than the other Space Animals, you will have to be quick. If you're too slow, you can always counter his recovery by going offstage and using Marth's counter. Another strategy is to hold on to the ledge when they are offstage, then when they start using their UpB, get ready to attack. When they come close enough to you with their UpB, use Marth's Dair! They are not invincible to attack during their UpB, so if you spike them, they will fall to their doom!

Sorry I had so much to say. I spend WAY to much time analyzing their game. I hate them too much, but oh well ! Hope this helps you, and again, if you have any questions, feel free to ask ^__^!
I can send you a video of me and SKy Brawling (SKy wins, but I was close to beating SKy, though ^__^). I'm pretty sure I use examples of using the first strike of dancing blade to make SKy flinch, then use an attack. But, if they are very low in damage (such as between 10% and 20%) they will not flinch that much and will be able to counter you. Also, be carefull not to get too predictable with that move. That is the main reason I lost to SKy. I was using the move too much and she was prepared to counter it. It's the only downside of the move. If you get too predictable, you WILL be punished.

****! It's still too long -_-. This next post will be my last, don't worry.
One of the VERY usefull things I discovered about Marth is the flinching power of the first strike of his dancing blade! It can surprisingly make people flinch enough (if they are at the right amount of damage) that you can immediately use any attack you like. It can be also used in the air, and it is VERY usefull in stopping the Lupines recovery. You know how the StarFox characters stall in the air a bit before they actually take effect? That is your chance if Wolf is offstage. If you can get close enough to him, use the first strike of the dancing blade (and ONLY the first strike or else it won't really work) and then use any aerial you like. You can just use the first strike and see if you can mindgame him into Self Destructing, but you can use any aerial attack you like after you use the first strike.

Sorry, but I STILL have more to say, but I think the next post will be my last.
Also, Marth's Jabs are starting to reveal their uses to me, it's better to use them to stop the enemy from what their doing, and possibly lead to a combo. Make sure to use it if they enemy leaves an opening, it gives you enough space to get away from him and can be a pretty good way to mess their game up, as well as give you time to think of a strategy. His Jabs are most effective the more you get to the edge of the sword (as you well know). If Wolf knocks you offstage, or gets you airborne due to one of his attacks (especially his dash attack), be carefull to not get cought in his Bair combos. The other starfox characters cannot do to many combos in the air due to the power of their aerials. But Wolf's Bair is soft enough to combo, but hard enough to KO (Kind of like Kirby's Bair. But Kirby's is better than Wolf's In My Opinion ).

I still have more things to say (sorry for the lecture). If you have any questions, please don't be afraid to ask me.
If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. I'm telling you everything I know (mostly what I think) of the Match Up.

They especially use their lasers to annoy you and make you approach them. I think this is the wrong thing to do, as Wolf's Fsmash travels farther than Fox's. If you approach to fast, they'll space right and use their Fsmash on you. It can lead to some deadly combos. You have to be carefull with the Lupine, since his Smashes do come out faster than the other space animals. It's great if you can Identify a pattern, then you can use Marths counter (thank GOD for that counter) to punish him. Marth's greatest asset (in my opinion) is his ability to counter their spammable smashes. Make sure to use Marth's Counter to stop the enemy's flow.

Sorry, but I STILL have more things to say. If you have any questions let me know. I don't think I'm making any sense at all.
But for Marth, what you must do (in my opinion) is be defensive. The reason why I hate them so much is that they can get away with spamming their smashes and B's (ESPECIALLY Falco). I've learned to guard A LOT against them. With Wolf, his Laser stops all aerial movement, and is an effective wall against characters who cannot get high enough into the air, like Marth. I have not found a way to effectively deal with this offensively, but defensively, I believe all you can safely do is block or dodge the annoying shots. One of Wolf's weakness is that he can't fire his projectile as fast as the other characters (I think he's slower than Falco's laser). So that might force him to rush you. Even though his dash attack isn't powerful and can be punished, they can easily back away and suddenly use their Fsmash as an alternative (kind of like dash dance a little then use their Fsmash at the right distance).

Sorry if I seem like I'm ranting. I still have more to say though.
Wow... That's a pretty intense match ^__^. Luck for you, I research how to deal with those space animals more than I should (no offense to anyone who plays with then, but I absolutely HATE THEM!!! I feel like I have a rivalry with all the StarFox characters). What I've noticed in combo videos and things like that, is that almost all of their combos depend on you thinking you have a chance to attack. I've noticed that they want (and NEED) to keep you on the ground. They aren't aerially adept, and can't do much if you're in the air. Most of their combos are done with ground characters, and they have trouble with characters who don't really stay on the ground. You can see why I like to use Pit so much against them ^__^.

I think my post is to large, so I'm going to post the rest in another VM.
    OK then ^__^.

How have things been going? I've been busy this week; so busy I haven't been able to get on too much ^__^. Improving with your Marth? SKy says I've improved with mine. SKy said she actually had trouble keeping up with my Marth! It surprsised me really. I didn't think I was that good. I hope to challenge you soon, I can't wait to have a Marth ditto with you ^__^!
Hey Dragon, how's it going? Have you got your Wii fixed? If so, you should sign up for the Johto Gym Leader tournament. I hope to see you soon ^__^.
