I could definitely see that happening. I'm sure Sceptile did just fine in the ballot days, also ironic that ORAS and Smash Wii U released the same day. RIP to everyone's wallet that day

I completely feel ya. The hype here was absolutely insane. Although the Smash Direct left bit of a sour taste, it's still great to see that this thread hasn't completely died off. I was pretty scared about that, especially how welcoming this place was and was the sole reason I made an account...

Could go 2 ways. WayForward is saying this just to say it with nothing to hide, or their trying to lower expectations for a potential surprise

Personally I wouldn't want Smash and Pokken to share much too more of the same characters, but you can count me in for extra support! As someone who started in Hoenn, I would be stoked for a gen 3 representative and I think Sceptile stands out really well among them

Well that's pretty interesting. This might make Sakurai more open to the idea of assist trophies becoming playable DLC seeing other devs are into it

It would have been great to actually play as her, but being an assist she still gets involved in the fighting in a way which is still pretty great. I feel this same way about Shovel Knight and Zoroark
