1.0.6 Wii Fit Patch Notes and Predictions

Wait she was nerfed in previous patches? Why would they nerf an already weak character?

How could Sakurai and his team NOT realized how glaring WFT's flaws are?

That was some excellent WFT play.

You can cancel landing lag on header (side-b)!

Where is this documented? I don't see this listed under the WFT Techs in the pinned "Nutrition and Supplement Guide."

    Approaches with WFT?

You have a few approach options depending on what your opponent tends to do as you approach. If your opponent likes to sit and wait and shield grab you, simply do a running grab. If your opponent likes to roll away from you, continue running and catch them at the end of their roll with a dash...

Wii Fit trainer needs a serious buff.

Characters that are fast and have a lot of safe moves. So like Fox, Sheik, ZSS, Sonic. Wii Fit Trainer's attacks are all kind of slow except her aerials, but her jump is floaty compared to the other characters I mentioned.

Wii Fit trainer needs a serious buff.

I think the biggest hurdle for players trying to learn Wii Fit Trainer is her extremely short melee range. For me I would always try to punish whiffed attacks or poke at opponents with f.tilt because that's what I naturally do with other characters, but you CANNOT do that with Wii Fit Trainer...

WHY...Why does WFt have SO much lag on the end of smashes?!

Her f.smash is actually very powerful and can KO at pretty low percents if you don't hit with it (aka keeping it "fresh") until your opponent is at 100+ percent. It's useful for punishing opponents who are recklessly approaching you with a short hop/dash attack/grab.

Wii Fit trainer needs a serious buff.

    Yes you do ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Wii Fit trainer needs a serious buff.

Yeah I agree she's hard to use cause her range is crap. I think her up smash's hitbox especially needs widening. You have to play a lot differently with WFT because you can't rely on f.tilts for spacing and her two best moves for setting up combos (up tilt and nair) are super hard to hit with...

WHY...Why does WFt have SO much lag on the end of smashes?!

What percentage are you hitting people at with your smashes that they're able to hit you back before you recover? Usually when I hit somebody with Wii Fit Trainer's smashes they fly pretty far. Her smashes hit pretty hard. Are you using them when your opponent is at like 0%? I wouldn't mind if...

That was really clever using deep breathing and the ball.

How do I stop myself from Smashing instead of Tilting?

Really? That's odd because usually new players have more difficulty with u.tilt than f.tilt and d.tilt because like you said, you can walk/crouch before you do the other tilts. My advice is basically tilt the stick forward as slowly and lightly as possible. You want to be really gentle with it...
