    My heart says Crash, but my mind says Master Chief. Though in regards to the Chief, I don't think another DLC character from Microsoft is very likley.

    That blue box in the artwork does seem very...coincidental, I'll say. That being said...if Crash does make it into Smash, parodying the original Smash Bros commercial in his trailer would be the way to go IMO.
