funny you should mention that because right after i wrote this post i found out about sdcard.org and downloaded the sd card formatting program and it worked like a charm.

So as of recently Legacy XP 2.1 would load like normal, but it wouldn't load to the character select screen and any music would have long pauses before playing like normal and then would keep skipping while the music is playing. also choosing any mode will skip and eventually load the character...
