And read the Zange-chan posts :D getting the National Pokedex is really useful because it makes it a lot easier to find oldschool pokemon. Some of them you pretty much need to trade from 3rd gen games though...which obviously requires you to have a 3rd gen game, and also an Advance slot in your DS, which DSis don't have >_>
Also when you get the national dex, you talk to professor Oak in I think Veilstone City or something, and Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno start roaming the land :D
I only caught Articuno so far...the other two are at 1 HP and paralyzed and I still can't catch them whenever I randomly see them XD
And wait til you hear the legendary music (if you haven't already)
it scared the hell out of me the first time I heard it. I think it's Mesprit that roams around, right? Well I found him randomly and the music was like "bummmmmmmmmmmmmm bummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!" and I was like O_____O
