the only reason characters suck are because they are compared to the better ones so if you didn't want them to nerf certain characters from melee, then basically, every character would have fox's speed and well, this game is noob friendly

****...you mean you can't play random people 1v1? i thought the online mode was the main feature of this game... i know it'll lag and all but at least a match finder should be put in locally so i can face random people

Guess they should have called it super smash party. When I first watched the competitive vids, I was like man this is pretty slow but because I played 64 for a long time, I accepted it. Then I saw there was no L-cancelling. Looking at how things are shaping up, melee >> brawl, I really hope not...

the reason the game is more balanced is most likely because advanced techs like l-cancel was taken out "random tripping" sigh.......

Tripping randomly is not good, don't know why some of you defend it... Imagine your doing a combo thats huge and you trip in the middle of it? it obviously won't feel good and people will have a tendency to blame it You'll be hearing people say "your lucky I tripped" wtf, ******** plz remove pl0x

I think James is aware that there would be some people going already since he made a thread about it and is checking up on it. It's intimidating to be the first one to register lol but I for sure people are going and James knows as well but w/e i'll register me and my friends

I would expect at least 10-16 ppl (not really sure) to show since im going with 3 of my friends which are not that good troy goes to ubc so he should be going gary lives at ubc so hes going tiep is going jdzl lives at ubc too i think im guessing some random ppl would show up too like...

the first half hour or so is probably gonna be friendlies or warmup or something as for the rules, they can be clarified at the tourny place, i dont think there is any cheapness that qualifies as disqualifiable, just no wobbling and abuse of glitches (unless you can pull off ness's jacket...
