When an enemy is sitting on a ledge, hop just above and to the outside of them and shine. It puts them into an awkward position underneath the stage. When characters have a bad recovery it can be very useful. Shine--> double jump--> edgehog. Works really well against Ike.

Honestly though, Melee tourneys are going to dissapear and Brawl tourneys are going to increase over time. If you want to be a pro, learn to make Brawl as competitive as possible. Sure melee is more suited for tournament play, but what's the point of playing an old game that you CAN'T play...
