I've found that the Marth matchup requires a lot of baiting and punishing. Against Marth, its really nice sometimes to wait for him to overextend, especially if you have a percent or stock lead. If they miss or come too close, it can easily lead to a bair, and I mean I don't need to explain why...

So I was at a weekly, and for one of my matches I had to play against a Marth. This isn't too big of a problem, I mostly get this matchup, but by the second game he realized I didn't know how to DI d-throw to f-smash as puff. I felt really stupid because this feels like a combo that I should be...

I know that if you d-throw Sheik and Marth so that they land on a platform, you can read their tech and punish with rest, but it isn't guaranteed as you have to read where they tech, or in response they could just get up attack. This may work for other characters, I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

Thanks for the help both of you! Also, covering what you said iAmMatt, not DIing the fair up is probably the reason why its been so bad for me, I totally never took that into account. I'll try and implement that into my play, thanks!

I find myself getting killed a lot due to down throw to up air from sheiks, and as much as I try to DI out of it, the up-air seems to always still hit, and if I DI forward, I get faired instead. I feel like I'm simply doing it wrong though, can anyone help me out?

Is this a tournament that anyone can enter? Because, I would like to go to this although, my experience with tournaments is minimal. I was wondering if this is a tournament that is alright for a tournament noob.
