    Patch 1.05 Analysis

In a way, it's like the 3DS version is a pseudo-beta test for the Wii U version. Not that I have a problem with that.

    Patch 1.05 Analysis

This made me so happy. It was such a bizarre decision to add 2 CPUs - either add just 1 or add 3, if you want to push 4 player Smash as the main thing. I hope this means we're gonna get some more Single Player related patches at some point, but I don't think many other people really seem to...

Theory on yet unrevealed characters and the WiiU/Future Unannounced DLC Discussion

I'd say it's more possible than any other third party addition right now.

    Competitive Principles: Mii

Something to note, LimitCrown - when you turn Customisation Off in any other mode, the Mii retains its custom moves.

Theory on yet unrevealed characters and the WiiU/Future Unannounced DLC Discussion

I genuinely don't understand how people think it'd be "unfair" for the Wii U version to have exclusive characters. Those characters only being on one version doesn't diminish your enjoyment of the game you bought. You still have the exact same game as before. It's not like they remove Luigi from...

Im pretty scared of the WII U

Pii U. Really? Really? FWIW, while it has its issues, I love Smash Bros on 3DS.

Im pretty scared of the WII U

Absolutely untrue. The Wii U is much better in terms of base hardware than Xbox 360 and PS3. It has at least twice the RAM available in the retail units and many, many developers praise it highly in terms of RAM, GPU and ease to develop for when compared to the 360 and PS3. The reason the...

Im pretty scared of the WII U

Actually, it's recovered astonishingly well this last quarter thanks largely to Mario Kart 8. Smash Bros for Wii U is going to shift a ton of systems too.

Roy for Smash 3DS/Wii U website

"Earthbound was localized and released on the Wii U's Virtual Console because of Miiverse posts." What? No, people had been campaigning for many, many, many years for a Wii Virtual Console release of EarthBound. Miiverse had absolutely nothing to do with it. Also, Miiverse is full of...

Smash 3DS Version 1.0.3 is out!!

This wasn't the first patch to claim to include a balance patch. 1.0.2 also supposedly had rebalancing in it. That's a tilde symbol, not a minus symbol. EDIT: Wait, wat. 100 bytes?

Smash 3DS Version 1.0.3 is out!!

What, exactly, do casuals have to do with this? Given that there are prizes for backing the winning team (gold at the very least), it makes sense for anyone to bandwagon the winning team. This removes the opportunity for bandwagoning.

Smash 3DS Version 1.0.3 is out!!

Just under 100MB. Makes you wonder what those 100MB would actually include.

Smash 3DS Version 1.0.3 is out!!

What do we expect from the company that releases major OS updates (8.0 for the 3DS, for example) with nothing but "stability fixes!" as the patch notes :/

Smash 3DS Version 1.0.3 is out!!

I honestly think it's gonna be Smash Bros's equivalent of Valve's "Updated the localisation files."

List of Smash 4 grievances with potential solutions

No, Circle Pad Pro functionality is left out because the 3DS needs CPU overhead to use the IR port and allow you to use the extra buttons and Circle Pad. The New 3DS has a beefier CPU and the new buttons + C-stick are built right in, so it uses less CPU overhead and the New 3DS can spare the...
