The problem with Brawl: It's Community

Congratulations! You are living proof of this fellow's example. Rather than constructively disagreeing or anything even moderately amiable, you tear him to pieces. ~85% of this community is the same way. Ironic that you tried so hard to disagree with him, and ultimately ended up proving him...

    Neutral Air with no lag

I was playing with ways to make Snake's Nair and Dair and Fair hot from the ground. For his Dair, I found that if you hold down on the control stick and quickly tap Y, A; he will short hop and all for hits will go off before he lands--usually doing around 28 damage. As for his Fair, just do...

Scar on the Melee vs Brawl debate: What does competitive really mean?

Sure, Melee may be more competitive--but it is competitive in a degenerate manner. Melee "skill" is measured by how well you can abuse bugs in the game (wavedashing). The game got to a point where only a few characters were viable options for bing competitive. This, my friend, is a bad...

    Cruel Brawl

Easiest method for me: 1 Take pit, and grab a ledge. 2 Fly under the stage and grab the other ledge. 3 Go to step 2. Easy as hell, and practically no chance of being killed. They just jump off and die over time.

Post if you keep NAIR suiciding

The problem is that you can't interrupt his NAIR with the Cypher. And by the time you can use Cypher, it's too late to recover. The only good solution is never to Nair or Dair with Snake unless you have a platform beneath you.

    Smash controls

I used to always analog it, but now I C-Stick unless. Something to note, you can remap the button scheme in Brawl, so you can set a trigger as the jump button, and then C-Sticking is even scarier.

Post if you keep NAIR suiciding

It's true, Dair is almost as bad. the problem is that Cypher takes time to neutralize downward momentum before it takes you up, so even if you manage to get the up+B in, he dies.

    Event 14 ??? Hard

DO NOT throw the Pikmin in any way. They can be killed if they are away from you. Keep them all next to you and you'll do fine.

Which characters does the AI main?

Any of the combo-type characters (Pit, Star Fox characters, G&W) seem to do well, probably because the CPU is simply able to calculate how to best perform the combos.

    Possible new discovery?

Yeah, this was revealed a long time ago on the Dojo. I don't remember what they called it (Footstool jump?), but it's super old news. Useful for recovery and spiking though.

Unlocking Jigglypuff in the American version

Okay, here's the deal folks: Step 1: Beat the subspace emissary. Completely, any difficulty. Step 2: Choose one: Beat events 1-20 OR Clear classic mode with any NON-Ike NON-Zelda game character OR find the new door in the Swamp in SSE. There is a new door after the Giant Diddy fight if...

I haven't unlocked Jigglypuff and this is why...

To unlock Jigglypuff, Wolf, or Toon Link, you must first complete all of the Subspace Emissary. After doing so, you can complete any of the methods used to unlock those characters.
