  • I did MC like, a dozen times or something. BWL... I've done it a few times, only did the last boss I think twice? I remember my old computer had a screenshot of the guild around Nefarian's corpse. :D

Onyxia a good number of times. AQ20 once, don't really remember it. Wasn't long after it came out, I think. Never did AQ40. Went into Naxx a couple times, couldn't kill anything though.

Doing Naxx10 was so nostalgic though. I did notice, correctly, that it was Baron Rivendare saying "Life is meaningless. It is in death that we are truly tested." or whatever he says. It used to be freaking Mograine that said that, not Rivendare.

I also noticed that the big beetle boss was way easier.

Man, old WoW was a pain in the ***, but I miss it. When I tried to 3 man that MC I noticed that one boss put on that -75% healing curse. I do not miss the days of constantly spamming cleanse/decurse.

It'd be nice if they revamped the old raids: lowered the amount of trash mobs, increased the number of epics the bosses dropped, and just generally made it more fun for people to go through for nostalgia/"when I was your age" purposes.
    nice.

I should get my 2nd piece after just like, a couple/few more random battlegrounds. Probably 2 if we win, which is rare of course.

I just read up on Wintergrasp and Isle of Conquest, because those places confused the hell out of me. I now understand them much better and kinda look forward to playing them again.

I understood how Strand of the Ancients works after playing only 1-2 times. I still don't really understand where to get the explosives, lol, but I love playing Offense because Subtlety Rogues have an amazing ability called Shadowstep. It's basically a targeted Blink that goes up to 20 yards. I love targetting gun turrets that are normally impossible to reach, shadowstepping up to them, and killing them. It's amazing.
Works in places like Wintergrasp too. :D

not a whole lot has changed. I'm about to get my 2nd Furious Gladiator piece soon.
What's sad is I would probably get PvP gear faster by doing heroics rather than random BGs, because I swear the Alliance loses at least 75% of the time. It's sick.

And it's hard to go through old raids and stuff because nobody knows wtf they're doing. I was gonna do MC with like 2 guildmates, I found some other people, like 9 of them, that were also going to do it, so we joined them. It turns out the raid leader didn't even know what attunement was, so me, one of my guildmates, and another random guy ended up 3-manning a bunch of it without too much trouble, while the rest of the group wouldn't listen to my explanations of what to do, and were trying to go into BRD as a raid and were like "wtf instance is full"

long story short, the three of us killed lucifron, wiped on the big dog boss, then wiped on Gehrenna or whatever the hell his name was before calling it a night XD

if I could find like 3 people that knew the raid, and at least 1 of them could heal, I'd be happy to just run through MC at least once :(

it was me (as a combat rogue) a warrior (dunno what spec) and a balance druid (that healed lol)
    was pretty fun i guess.
Am I the only one who read the bottom of the posts?

I said that there were some that I omitted or else it would be like the top 40 worst pokemon and I was too lazy and tired to keep going on
    That was a mistake

I pressed copy link, but for some reason some of them didn't copy leaving the old links pasted again...

just view the original one, its fixed there
Well, most of what I know is from the Rogue forums, since most rogues you'll encounter normally will suck.

Basically, deep Assassination is good for PvE. Hunger for Blood, with the glyph, gives basically permanent +8% damage. Mutilate and Envenom do nice damage, especially since Envenom makes poisons proc more often, increasing damage by a looot. There's also a talent that makes Envenom refresh Slice n Dice so you have a permanent +40% attack speed. This is my PvE spec, and as soon as I specced into it my dps jumped drastically, and it's pretty easymode. Unfortunately, Assassination is my least favorite spec.

Combat is also a PvE-heavy spec, though I'm not sure how deep into Combat a "good" PvE spec would be. I know the 51 point talent is pretty good in PvP, because it's like 10 attacks instantly, it's awesome. The obvious difference between Combat and Assassination PvE is that Combat = swords/axes/maces/fist weapons and Assassination = daggers.

Subtlety is basically regarded as crap for PvE, which is unfortunate because I see some major potential in it, if it just had a few well-placed buffs. It's good for PvP because of mobility with Shadowstep and burst potential with Shadow Dance because you can spam Ambush for great justice.

What I usually hear is "subtlety kills cloth just as well as assassination but can't really kill plate"

The reason is because Assassination has a bunch of talents that make poisons actually useful, and Envenom ignores armor, so yeahhh.

tl;dr version: Mutilate (41 point assassination) + preparation (21 point subtlety) is generally regarded as the best pvp spec, while heavy Assassination is generally regarded as the best pve spec.

    :/
Yeah, there's a talent that reduces damage taken while stunned and feared by 30%, but it's deep in Combat, where I don't need it.
I really need those because stuns (especially pally stuns) = instant death for me in pvp :/

can they only stack up to 20%?
    Friend Invites?
If you mean friend request, we went over that >.<
I dont follow what a friend invite is, unless its a request to join my social group, which i never sent to you >.>
Just when I thought Pallies weren't OP enough, I notice that they can remove stuns with Hand of Freedom with a Ret talent.

    wtf man
I haven't tried normal mode yet. I've just been playing for fun and trying to figure out how stuff works.

Eventually I'll start for real and save my progress and stuff.
Kay, maybe tonight. I gotta go to work soon.

I'm still trying to focus on the 1P mode, haha. It's really fun.
    pvp is bleh

I did like 6 BGs yesterday and only had fun in one of them, because healers actually healed me and I was like yay :D

and rogues either suck in pvp, or my gear is just waaay too bad.

some resto druid was attacking stormwind and we had like 6 people trying to take him down, took like a minute and a half. SO RIDICULOUS.
