Geno (♥♪!?): Return of the Starsend Savior

I figured his best chance was as DLC perhaps to subsidize some of the rights cost from the get go.

Exactly - the range of ages round these parts kinda shows that my old man's childhood is fighting against yours and others, and that's the beauty of Smash!

You'll get there someday. I feel like i pulled my 30s the other day, right in the 30s and it keeps me down waiting for my 30s to heal.

Ken would probably have his usual slight differences with Ryu that evolved past the first couple of games.

Hot take - even though Rare were amazing in their heyday and they certainly have their place in history, their games have aged rather poorly and getting K Rool in (and sure, why not Dixie maybe) would be more than enough. Same with Spyro, same with Crash. Gimme StarTropics. I'm old.

Seasons change, eras pass, we are in dark times, and yet there is levity to be found in simply the joy in Smash. Each time I came here and speculated was before a release, and lemme tell you, my life sure has changed in 11 years. Light a candle for Sakurai. Dude's got a portrait aging in his attic

Geno (♥♪!?): Return of the Starsend Savior

The time is right. 90s nostalgia in gaming is at its peak - if only we could get another proper super mario RPG!

Social King K. Rool's Kremling Kutthroats: This...Is Our Finest Hour!

I accept being wrong! Had no idea, just assumed since it lay long dormant with only DK64 between DKC and the very late GC era Donkey Konga Renaissance, and generally a mild reception to most western developed games. Still glad that the 90s matters to Nintendo now.

Social King K. Rool's Kremling Kutthroats: This...Is Our Finest Hour!

It is kinda neat that 90s nostalgia is finally being acknowledged by Nintendo. Also, I know DKC was never a big deal in Japan so everything about this is a bit of a shift.

    Why?

I think his personality does shine better in DK64- always had to infer a lot in the 16-but era but I guess he didn’t really register with me that much back then. I suppose it’s also easy to forget just how big DKC was! I was more into rpgs during that time on the SNES - more my bad than anything.

    Why?

First off, congrats, it was a hard fought victory for you all. This is not meant as condescension. A curiosity I’ve had for let’s say, a decade - but never dared ask because at the time I considered it in poor taste given the circumstances was why there such a fervent love for the Kremling...

    Your Squad Strike Team.

I think perhaps that is preferable to the gestational horror that it could otherwise imply.

The Journey, The Dream and The End. Simon Belmont in Smash Ultimate.

He has been my one big want for a long time. He also actually brings something unique by being a ranged melee fighter. Also I’m old and I remember fighting fishmen as a 6 year old at my friend Brandon’s house. Y’all know him right?

    Ridley looks disgusting

I personally want the Ridley figurine to destroy a child’s toy box. Also, as a kid who had a lot of toys in the 80s/90s we had some gnarly stuff to go along with the cuddly. He’s not out of place because he sets the tone of what the dark amongst these designs would be.
