From [insert Smash game here] to Ultimate: How are you guys adjusting to the new game?

I played a lot of 64 and next to nothing till now. I'm having so much fun thanks to the online giving me such a great diversity of opponents. I love how big the game feels so much to learn. The tech skills I'm learning have such a big pay off. It's just been a very fun experience for me. I don't...

anyone else worried zoner players might get suspended for unsportsman like behavior?

I used to have a griefing mvc3 max projectile team that would drive my friends crazy. It become core to our meta but the funny thing is I never dropped a game to it even though it was a constantly wall of projectiles. It was really fun to play against. Very relaxing vs the stress of footsies.

anyone else worried zoner players might get suspended for unsportsman like behavior?

It's really odd to me the amount of complaints about our PK boys when there are some characters who benefit from the projectile spam than us. I enjoy playing against projectile characters it's like a platformer. I don't understand the mentality but I have seen some unnecessary complaints spiral...

    Training mode

A add on device seems reasonable for a wired connection as I cant imagine reverse enginners the outputs would be too hard. A microcontroller could easily do the work once it's reversed. It would take some soldering, some testing, and the right equipment. Probably a sophomore electrical...

    Is online worth paying for?

I have played around 30-40ish hours online. For around .50 cents an hour it's been a worthwhile purchase to me. I'll probably get 300 at least this year. If you take the total cost to me (someone who already owned a switch) it will probably be 80/300$ so about a quarter an hour of quality...

    Training mode

It's a pain you have to set them to something besides stop to get them to shuffle correctly. Recording inputs would make it actually useful. I have to use it a crap load as I can only play online at best once a week.

Please explain my GSP Numbers to me

It's easier to move roster GSP up by playing a breadth of characters vs getting one higher. My rosters about 1.5 mil though I am sitting at 2.6 mil on Lucas. It was 1.2 mil when I had played 3 characters to 750k. I noticed that when playing characters who I have a GSP lower than my roster GSP I...

Operation Starfall: Bringing Life to SMRPG Again

I love that it's getting talked about. It's probably the perfect title for the switch. A little bit of action but at an RPG pace. Nintendo could really knock it out the park. RPGs and turn based strategy have always been popular on Nintendo add in some mainstream characters it could make waves...

Why do I suck no matter how much I play

Maybe you need to spend more time reflecting and less time playing. It's probably an attitude (mindset) thing. If your sole goal for now is to get to be an amazing player why would you get distracted by beating people? Your lucky if you are in situations that you are losing if you really want to...

Q&A Smash Ultimate "Mains Advice" Thread

I have been wondering about my fighter pool given I am in early stages. Should I stick to my Lucas or select about 5 that require different playstyles: I can only play online for about 2 large chunks a week. I go into training and work on tech everyday (Internet isn't a regular luxury for me)...

Unpopular Smash Ultimate Opinions! - Read the OP before Posting

Oh yeah. Black/white blew my mind. My friends all hated but it was the winner. Time reflected well upon that game people wrote off.

    Losing is affecting my self-esteem

It's all a mind set thing. I used to show my friends broken ass **** in games like Marvel vs Capcom so they could use it against me to practice against it. I enjoy navigating through a seemingly impossible wall seeing through into the mind of my opponent. I often find people who love the busted...

Your Smash Newcomer wants through the ages?

I only played 64 and melee till now so: I always loved 4 x red mage in ff so gotta have that. Judge from FFTA. Ninja Gaiden's protagonist. Any of the advanced wars commanders. Probably olof. An assassin from fire emblem. As a farmer who hated harvest moon I think a generic protaganst could...

Duster, the Thief with a Limp, Joins the Battle!!

I think Duster represents something really special with his disability and how people viewed him in the game. Add in the awesome potential for his kit. Get the whole gang in for a jam sesh attack for the final smash. It would be the most emotionally charged dlc fighter for me.

Geno (♥♪!?): Return of the Starsend Savior

I think they should recycle the Mario RPG. Imagine how cool the modern combat system could be. To bolster those sales maybe throw Geno in smash. I'd cry. What a great game. I hope it's not forever lost to time and I was surprised other people had even heard of it.
