Oh and when you post your thread, ask in the Q&A sticky first whether to post it in the Official Metagame Discussion or to make a new thread. I think a new thread should be fine, but check to be sure.

Well, they see no reason to come back. This place punched them in the face, and that place healed their wounds. Everything they want here, they have a better version of there. There's just no reason for them.

And, you can post your arrow thread. I can guarantee you won't be flamed. You might get stuff like "this was known, get out" or "old thread is old" but don't take it seriously. That's just our way of welcoming newcomers, stick around and we warm up to you fast.

Yeah, it might work. These are some of the responses I'm getting atm:

"Everything they're offering, we have a better version of."

"There's no reason to go back, everyone is here."

"We have a better tier list, a further metagame, a better mod, a better community, and an unbanned Shin"

"The metagame is HERE, why would we want to go against progression?"

So yeah, it's probably not going to happen. Everyone is quite content there.

I'm also getting things like:

"Havokk is a terrible mod"

"I'd want Havokk demodded, personally"

"I've always hated Havokk, and hopefully you all could tell"

"I think Buzz would make a better mod than Havokk, because he hates us all"

And stuff like:

"I really don't care either way"

I'll ask about posting on both sites.

I'll speak to the Links about those 3 conditions. Some of them have already refused because they think Havokk sucks as a mod. Like I said earlier, they want someone who understands them as a community. I remember nominees for mods were Swordplay, Oddler, myself, ArkiveZero, Deva, Legan, and Ich Bin Awesome. They're all active and know the ins and outs of the community. Havokk.....doesn't.

Well, if you want to alleviate the tension a little, post your technical data there =]

As for the Tier List, that was our pride and soul lol. I'm going to attempt Forum Disputes again, but if that doesn't work, this tension may not ever end.

If Havokk gets SWF to:

1) Reopen the Tier List

2) Leave us be with ONLY Havokk as our mod and no interference from other mods

3) Let us have a spam thread just for the sake of avoiding other spam threads from arising

I will come back to SWF. Those are my conditions, as well as (with the exception of a few) most of the community's.

Yeah, it's just that his rules seem a bit strict, like I said. I've seen "cool" mods like Sudai and Dawza, who enforce the rules, but do it kindly so it doesn't seem like you ever get in actual trouble, even if you do. As for the lightening up thing - maybe, but I have my doubts. We've known Havokk for a while, and his attitude at that. If he stays the same ol' Havokk we know, then he probably won't change. He wasn't always here for 4 days, he used to be part of us at one point.

Yeah, it's a nice thread to have on paper, like you said. And this new gen of Link mains needs help...like, a lot. Like, they need to come to AiB and get up-to-date fast xD.

As for Havokk, meh. He's a bit too strict for my taste. He's against General Discussion threads, he gets ticked off easily (known from past experiences), and he doesn't consider himself among "us" despite being the Wifi King of the Link boards. He left our gen because ArkiveZero (2nd/3rd best Link in the world, he's tied with Legan) thought that some of Havokk's posts were stupid back then, and finally told him his thoughts. I mean, in terms of his job, he's doing alright. In terms of how he presents himself, he could lighten up.

For instance, instead of:

1) _____ will NOT be tolerated. Anyone who breaks this rule WILL be infracted.

He could just say:

1) _____ isn't allowed, and if I see it, I'll put it in the proper thread for you.

No infraction needed, both sides happy, everything as it should be.

And on a final note, the Link mains need a mod that actually like....associates with them on a consistent, good-term basis. One who understands how the boards work, how the community works, who's who and who knows what, etc. Havokk doesn't really know us THAT well, since he "left" our gen.

Ah, I skipped right to the list without reading the...intro I guess you would call it. My mistake then. But yeah, as we both said, now it's just in an official list. I'm not saying it's a bad thread. It's just commonly known among Link mains. I mean, if you're going to be making those kind of threads (technical data like %s, priorities, frame data) at least put it in the place where it will be properly discussed and analyzed by the top Links.

Havokk is just trying to reawaken the boards because he was modded specifically for that purpose.

Well, we don't hate you persay, we just find it....(this may sound harsh) really funny that you guys think you're getting somewhere. I mean, that arrow thread, some things are interesting, like it going through R.O.B.'s laser, but most of that is known already. Now it's just in an official list.

We don't hate you as people or players. We just hate the fact that you guys are trying to revive the boards without waiting for the change we deserved.

Honestly, we'd have no problem with you coming there. It's been like this for a lot of new Link people - we semi-flame them on SWF, and then welcome them with open arms on AiB. A perfect example would be chris the brawler. We openly told him to his face he has no idea what he's talking about half the time. Once he switched, he became friends with everyone.

Actually, we wouldn't mind at all. We're quite kind really, despite our "NO SWF" mindset. Take a look at Kirinblaze, for example. He doesn't main Link (mario) but he's known as the best red Link, and is very respected.

Well what I mean is, you can most definitely improve your Link there. On AiB, we're not like "get out if you weren't invited" or anything. We're actually quite welcoming, and would be glad to have you. It's not just about reading guides - the Q&A thread, the random info that everyone knows, the video critique sticky, all of that contributes to improving a person. My previous message wasn't meant to sound like it had a harsh tone, so sorry if it came out that way.
