This is a basic intuitive move. Naming a basic game mechanic after someone is stupid, just like "ink-dropping".

I've seen snake effectively dodge short hopped dairs completely while crawling right under the jumping opponent.

Why are people so quick to assume that there will be exploits in brawl? Why can't people just simply let go of the fact that brawl is totally different from melee.

......what? Nintendo right now currently has the worst quality control team bar none. The 360 this year probably has one of the greatest fall lineups ever. Since when is nintendo not out to get money and nothing else? At least back up your facts if you are going to spray BS everywhere...

I disagree. Final Smashes seem pretty balanced for 1v1 play as long assuming they are the only active item and spawn at a reasonable rate(1 every 2-3 minutes or so). 1. The strongest ones can be dodged or avoided, the mass hit ones aren't that powerful in comparison to the single target ones...

This is probably the most ignorant post I've seen here in a while. Just because other fighting games are more difficult due to the long move lists doesn't make them button mashers. And since when does smash take more skill than a game like third strike?

It doesn't make the game more balanced because wavedashing is not equal for every character. It's a pretty stupid argument.

Get over it. Melee may have had techniques that catered to many AT's, but the smash series in general is catered towards casuals.

EDIT: Wow nice update, but it's still incredibly hilarious how many people got in a fit today because "MY PRECIOUS AT'S ARE GONE, WAAAAH". From the sounds of it the game is seemingly more balanced, and less bugs to exploit.
