I’m assuming they revealed the direct now because they know everyone would assume the switch successor would be at the next direct if they didn’t specifically say it’s not. -

Man, that's a huge lead time for a Direct. Usually, they try to short-notice it the same week or the week before. I guess with E3 gone they can afford to do this now.
