OU is filled with many threats. For example, Scizor is not exactly the biggest, but it is gay. Why you may ask? Because Scizor can learn Bullet Punch. Sure, normally it's not the most powerful move, but since Bullet Punch gains STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) and if you add an item to it, it is an awesomely powerful move AND since it's increased priority (moves that go first/after), it can hit first.
Another threat we have to the game is Salamence. That thing is an absolute powerhouse and I'm not joking. There are actually talks on Smogon (you remember what that is right?) on making it Ubers. I say its most versatile move would have to be outrage. It's so good that it's capable of OHKOing most pokemon.
There are more threats such as Heatran, Swampert, Infernape, etc., but that should come later. First, let's make you a team. Now, we COULD make an anti lead, a pokemon that is made to destroy normal leads, or we can make a normal lead.
