When do you think this game will die?

Whenever Nintendo runs out of money and decides to make Melee HD. :happysheep:

    Problem with jumping and pillaring

Melee is all about being precise in your inputs. Only press each input once, and you'll get the hang of the timing in no time :).

Fairly new to Melee, practicing for tourney

Getting a CRT television will improve your gameplay experience a lot. I practiced on a LCD tv for quite a long time before I got serious, and having no input lag makes a world of difference. You don't really need to worry about multi-shining until later, but learn it because it's pretty flashy...

wavedashing off the ledge without grabbing it

Well, if you're holding downwards to WD, you're most likely not doing the longest WD possible. I would practice holding almost horizontal and then inputting a separate fast fall.

Fairly new to Melee, practicing for tourney

It's all about muscle memory. You're just holding down the trigger a bit too long after you complete the WD. Melee is supposed to be crisp. Are you playing on a CRT television? If you're using the same set-up as you did for Brawl or Sm4sh, there's going to be very noticeable input lag that...

wavedashing off the ledge without grabbing it

You need to be holding down as you pass the ledge. Just hold down to fast-fall past the ledge, and immediately DJ -> Aerial after that.

How did you choose your main?

Yea, but does he have a fire sword ;).

    Falco's up-air

Yea, definitely. It's got plenty of niche uses for combo-ing at lower percentages. In particular, Zhu uses it a lot to reset opponents when they're trapped on a platform, and he used to mix in u-air -> shine during his pillars. To me, it's ambiguous as to when it's better to u-air as opposed to...

    Help with Peach

Peach's vertical mobility is pretty trash, and Falco's is godlike. Use that to your advantage. This is definitely a matchup where you want to slow it down, see Westballz vs. Armada @ TBH4. If you know how to combo floaties, you should be able to get a decent punish off every shine/opening...

    3 Things

Don't use the laser as a crutch. Work on your punish game constantly. As the people you play get better and better, they'll start to DI and SDI out of strings that you could previously chain together. When watching videos, analyze don't just watch. Pause, rewind. Keep a notebook on you, or...
