Normally, it's only 10$ for gas. If you can't swing that, I'm sure I can cover you and you can just pay me back later. As for tournament entry, it's best not to enter your first time around, to be honest. The best thing to do is to go offline once or twice and play friendlies to get the gist of things. After that, if you're confident, you should enter.
I'm going to a tourney this weekend in Connecticut. I'm thinking I might be able to bring you if you're free. Though, if you've never been in a carpool, I'd have to 'splain the rules of the pool. Just lemme know if you're interested.
