    Why do you main Inkling?

They have a lot of elements I like - great dash dance, good airspeed, phenomenal jab, great recovery and easy edgeguarding., Decent kill options and coming in my favorite color is just icing on the cake.

    How do you guys train?

I'm not an expert at this, but one strategy I've tried is this: Identify one thing I'd like to be able to do more (like punishing my opponent's hits on shield with aerials OoS, for example). Play matches while not trying to win, but just trying to do that piece of tech/strategy over and over...

    Squid Use for Splattershot?

Hey all, Recently got into Inkling, and am really liking how they feel. However, one thing bugs me - I can't find a use for Splattershot. It seems whenever I try to use it in neutral, it is pretty punishable, and doesn't apply ink as efficiently as a jab combo or roller -> smash attack. Any...

How viable is it to main one Pokemon and ignore the others?

Taunting also works, so quick swapping from Charizard is as easy as cancelling your taunt into a switch. Solo mains rejoice.

    Pokémon Trainer pre-release strategy/trick compilation

It's actually any special move or taunt - anything that the trainer has an animation for. This makes solo-maining a lot more viable, and lets you keep to the matchup you like.

Unfortunately, staleness transfers between pokes during a switch. More thought will have to be put into how that affects things - right now, it's hard enough to manage combos and tricks for 3 characters @_@

Definitely not going to happen. 38 frames of switch is going to outlast any endlag of your last move. MAYBE you'd get 50/50s.

Everyone is Here... except Oot Zelda and TP Link!

Yeah, we definitely need more Links in this game that currently has 3 versions of Link. How else are we going to make a chain Link fence, or make jokes about "The Weakest Link"?

The Second Pokémon on the Dex - Ivysaur's Magical Leap

I think that's actually a quirk of the move that's possible to work around. That seems to happen mainly when you are even slightly below the ledge when you use it. Ivysaur can hit 90 degrees, but as soon as you go to 91, it whiffs.

The Second Pokémon on the Dex - Ivysaur's Magical Leap

"Slightly improved" by lack of edgehogging? That system change singlehandedly saved it from being the worst recovery in the game hands down. The fact that it goes farther now is also a bonus - I'd say it's still below average, but has escaped bottom 10 for sure.

People who already have the game getting bad first impressions?

Who needs smooches when you have smash?

    Pokémon Trainer pre-release strategy/trick compilation

Disclaimer, which I will add to the original post: I don't know if all of these will work yet, as a good chunk of them are theorycrafting. Some of them I've actually observed, but not all. The PT discord is here https://discord.gg/dKR3hkY

    Pokémon Trainer pre-release strategy/trick compilation

Hey all. I'm spending way too much time obsessing over this character, so I've come up with a list of what I hope are non-obvious strategies/tricks that may help once the game comes out. Let me know if you have suggestions to improve this list, and feel free to try these when the game comes out...
