I'm not sure, should she be an honorable mention or be given a normal disconfirmation and a tombstone?

Maybe if the other two Captains get disconfirmed they can all share a tombstone later on, just a little idea if the others get disconfirmed as well. (which I think they most likely will)
She doesn't deserve her own tombstone! So I like your other idea, she can share a tombstone with her fellow captains.

Ooh, I love this idea. Sounds like a plan to me. All I can say is only time will tell.

Here's an idea; have the ghosts of Dead Pikmins floating away from Brittany (and eventually Charlie and Alph's) graves.

What a creepy ending. They carry his dead body and use it to further multiply.

Not trolling but shouldn't Ridley be in the graveyard? I mean he was specifically shown in the boss section of the direct.

It's OK, it's obviously Charlie's time to shine with his rubber duck.

People still think he'll be playable for some reason. They instantly disconfirm other characters but as soon as it comes to Ridley they're still making up more reasons.

Well a with character of his magnitude, I can see why.

It's the entire tease of a boss but never stating if he was one or not. Sakurai should've just said he was in all honesty. (Under the assumption he's a boss and not playable. So don't get mad at me people)

I guess you can say Brittany's chances were...
*sunglasses on*
plucked.
In all seriousness, sorry to the people that wanted her or an Alph, Brittany, and Charlie Trio.

Out of curiosity, has Sakurai ever seemingly deconfirmed a character (and not misunderstanding like Ness in Brawl and deconfirmations in the previous game like Villager) only for him to confirm them later?

Also it's not unusual for Sakurai to tease a boss or even a Poke Ball. See: Yellow Devil himself (trailer) and Xerneas.

He would take up too much space in the graveyard... where would the other deconfirmed characters be buried at?

Bury to there with a small gravestone. Can't you see? It's for "downscaled" Ridley and his "Too big" counterpart is still alive and well and he currently taking role as a boss. :troll:

Considering theToon Link in the background bit, I think 90 percent of these are easily just an imaginary fabrication

If someone would be so kind, can we get a proper grave for Daitoryo and Sheriff?

"Pic of the day. The unexpected Assist Trophy, the TV-Game 15! Color TV-Game 15 is a home entertainment system that was released in 1977 in Japan before the release of Space Invaders. This is the oldest game to join the Smash Bros. series."

We didn't catch on that this was a possible disconfirmation in the Daitoryo thread until a bit later, and we looked at the original Japanese and had that translated by @Venus of the Desert Bloom for us.

Pic of the Day. This is the surprising Assist Trophy "Television Game 15". The "Color Television 15 " came before the Invader Game (Space Invaders) in 1977. Of the Smash Bros related products to appear in Smash Bros., this is the oldest.

Sheriff debuted in 1979 and Daitoryo debuted in 1889. This is an indirect disconfirmation. (Diskun's still in the running, though, having debuted in 1986.)

Being the Daitoryo thread's owner, I would recommend leaving a deck of Daitoryo Hanafuda cards on his grave.

Rest in peace, my old friend. Maybe next time.

If Sheriff debuted after Color-TV Game 15, then I think he's safe. Otherwise, I'd say you should start writing a description for me, as I really don't know enough.

Sorry. I was far too tired to deal with numbers last night.

I'll get an obituary ready for you later.

Well, no actually, he wasn't shown. Just hinted at heavily.
I think his toe nail was shown. Or was it the tip of his tail, or wing? It was pretty big you can't miss it. :troll:

Yeah, but that's not him. Nevertheless, we will likely know his fate in 3 weeks, so we can just wait until then to put him in the graveyard.

Should we really count Zelda/Sheik and Samus/ZSS? All 4 are returning veterans... They were split, not cut and then 4 identical characters added in place.
The transformation is what's cut, not the character. So that's what I put.
