The literal DEFINITION of satire is exaggerating other people's ACTUAL MORONIC/ABSURD BELIEFS for the purpose of humor or criticism.
By saying that someone actual believes it just SUPPORTS my point that satire exists.

Anyone else think it's completely ridiculous that 90% of sentient alien life in the media is humanoid?
I know in cases like Star Trek it's for the sake of convenience and allegory, but most other places it just seems like people can't grasp the idea of sentient life not looking human. Heck, I draw anthropomorphic lizard people for fun and it's still kind of a stretch.

It's the whole reason why Norwegian aliens will always strike me as horribly fake.


Oh, nice. I started typing this on the computer and it stayed in the post area on my PS3.

This board is much easier to load on my PS3 in the morning and afternoon. And by easier to load I mean I can actually post, switch pages, and not have to reboot my PS3 every other time I try to view the site.

He is not owned by square enix any more he is now owned by alphadream (maybe nintendo) and they are planning to bring him back

Yeah, I find it unimaginative too.

Problem is, it's rather hard to imagine a more perfect body type for use of tools and machines, and second, humanoid aliens are easier to animate/act and relate to. Most designer don't/can't spend the time thinking up completely novel alien body types which would also have to appear civilised.

Almost all aliens in media can be reduced to be based on some earthly creature or another.

I'm probably gonna rock Tanooki Mario, Lemmy & Dry Bowser once I get the corresponding DLC, w/ Tanooki being my main man.
Because when you have stats specifically for you (Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach are the only characters in their own weight class, w/ Cat Peach being the lightest of all the Mediums and Tanooki Mario being inbetween Mario/Luigi/Mii and Peach/Yoshi/Daisy in terms of stats) it's a special snowflake.

I think it would be best if a creature you almost CAN'T relate to at first showed up in a Science Fiction/Fantasy work and was actually benevolent, capable of communicating immediately, and didn't end up getting killed somehow. Like, something really creepy or difficult to identify as alive with full blown blue and orange morality in a non-random sort of way. Make it a main character and not stupidly powerful, too. That would be amazing.
