Greninja's screen ko is hilarious, but my favourite has to be Kirby's because he has a "oh crap, this was here?" face.
Can't wait to see Toon Link.

Sakurai did say Debugging has already started, so the rest of the team probably just adds little details. I wonder was the steam apparent during the invitational?

My favorite has to be Link. How he's scrunched up. It's funny to see characters who are in somewhat "serious" games be reduced to funny moments like this in Smash Bros. Cannot wait to see Palutena and King Dedede.

So of the revealed characters, we have try to see:

Luigi
Peach
Yoshi
Shiek
Toon Link
Lucario
Charizard
King Dedede
Diddy Kong
Olimar
Ike
Palutena
Mii
Pac-Man

I picture Peach to be much in the same vein as Rosalina or Zelda but in a different posture.
Luigi will most def use his Luigi's Mansion pose.
For some odd reason, I see Lucario closing his eyes and his Aura evaporating when he hits the screen.
King Dedede makes his "auuugh" face that we've seen.
Olimar obviously will have his eyes wide open.
Pac-Man could turn into his sprite fork upon hitting the screen.

I love how you can actually kinda see them coming at top speed from a distance, they don't just come up from the top of the screen, it really adds to the effect and makes it look a lot more painful.

The amount of detail is great, like Marth's cape or Link's hat flapping in the wind after slamming the screen so you see how fast they were going.

I'll probably spent some time in Training Mode KOing everyone just to see the screen reactions. :laugh:

SPLAT! And they crash the screen.

Look really awesome, but slower than the previous screen KOs, which got me thinking: could it be that the screen KO time is now the same as a Star KO? Because screen KOs were faster than Star KOs in previous games which added a luck based factor when knocking out someone upwards.

I like how they splat instead of tumbling like they did In brawl, I like Kirby's because it reminds me of triple deluxe.
I feel like Wario's is going to leave a gross smudge as he slides down. Or he might just break through my television....

I find it a little morbid but funny that Samus' pose reminds me of the pose she makes in Metroid Prime 3 when she's holding on after being wrecked by DS at the beggining of the game, it's probably the hand 'holding on' that gives me that feeling, I love Kirby's Triple Deluxe one.

I think the placement and rotation of the animation isn't static. In the case of the Villager gifs, we see the pose and expression is the same, but they are rotated and placed differently.

I love the subtle little screen shake when they hit. Gives the impact an added feel of speed and weight.

These are going to be amazing on the 3DS.

I agree. The screen shake is a nice added touch overall. I really like it.

I just wish there was a glass smearing SFX when they fall down.

although its slightly more humorous in smash4, I doubt I'll ever laugh as hard at em as I did the first time I saw one in melee, sure they didn't slide off the screen in a humorous manner, but how they smacked hard against it then fell down in melee was still such a hilarious (and unexpected the first time it happened), vast improvement over 64's where they just spun in in their tumble animation regardless of whether they were went to the back and vanished as a star, or came up close to the screen, that me and all my friends busted out laughing for a good 5-10 minutes the first time it happened


Smash4 is never going to be able to re-capture that hilarious moment when that first happened. Much like the first time you got eaten by the fish on the ice climbers stage in brawl and never expected it.

Surely gonna be added in the final build, I think SFX for these things just haven't been implemented yet.
