Well, I doubt there'll be any announcements that day, if that's what you're worried about missing. It's the day the ballot ends, not necessarily the day they announce the winner(s). If they were going to announce them that day, the ballot probably would've ended at least a few weeks ago. Otherwise, what would be the point in letting people get in their last-minute votes? It's not like they could tally up all the votes and make the character trailers all in one day.

I am just supporting Isaac right now. There are a couple other characters that I would like to see, but I'm not actively supporting/voting for them. My vote is for Isaac and Isaac only right now.

I hope that Nintendo will announce something the 3rd Ocotober. Only 6 days left, and if we don't have any ND confirmation within 2 days, we won't have anything. It would be a reaaally bad move from Nintendo.

Atm no, since Isaac is the only character I really want, however, I would really like to see Lloyd Irving, Claus from Earthbound, Zero from MMX and Django to make the cut (although we already have enough 3rd parties imo and the later two have zero change to make it in).

The patch on the 30th could be anything from just Mario Maker stage and a bugfix or two, to a full-blown balance patch. No one knows at this point. It won't include a new character or anything because they usually announce them a fair bit before each patch, they would have announced them along with the new stage.

Ryu and Roy were announced RIGHT BEFORE THEY WERE RELEASED. They were leaked first, yes, but that doesn't matter.

If we don't have an announcement of a livestream by tomorrow there's probably not going to be a character, but then again, you never know. They could change their minds and announce a new character on Twitter.

Well, the ballot will still be going on on the 30th, so I'm not holding my breath. Furthermore, unless the ballot has been so skewed towards one or two characters, and they've been already preparing, they'll need time to put together an intro trailer for the character(s) that are getting in because of the ballot once the ballot closes. They'll then need time to actually build the character(s). I suspect we could see a teaser for the ballot character(s) maybe at the end of October, and then a few months afterwards before it(they) are available on the store.

As for whether or not they'll announce the ballot winner(s) in a plain form (twitter, press release, announcement) as soon as the ballot is finished and tallied, or with fanfare (during a direct with a trailer) some time later, I have no idea.

They still rely on psynergy and they haven't become as technologically advanced, but Isaac and Matthew are both sporting denim. Sure it lends well to their design, but it doesn't make much sense x D

Again, from the point in time that they finished their last DLC character, probably Ryu, until the end of the ballot (October 3rd), they have been/will be diligently developing content. I am sure that this includes a character. From June 14th at the latest up until September 30 (date of the patch), they have had more than three months and if I recall correctly, it only takes 2-3 months to fully develop a new character. It would take even less time to develop a veteran (such as the ever-so prominent Wolf).

Secondly, the ballot results, more likely than not, stagnated a couple of months ago. The development team has had a great idea of who to create for quite some time and I doubt the final results will change too much in the mean time. They could certainly influence a future character later down the line, but I highly doubt that they have been sitting there doing nothing of relevance for the duration of the ballot.

If I misunderstood your post, please forgive me. I am operating under the assumption that you are pessimistic about a character reveal because the ballot has not yet ended.

I've seen a couple of Isaac haters recently, in Youtube comments, and on SSB4Dojo.

I guess that means we're taken really seriously and some people are afraid that their character won't make the cut.
To be honest, now I find them hilarious, they really don't make sense anymore. :rolleyes:

I think people actually voted for Shrek and Britney Spears. I actually kind of welcome such idiocy. If they're stupid enough to vote for Shrek and Britney Spears, then chances are they're not smart enough to realize that, just because he has a sword, it doesn't mean Isaac is just an unreleased Fire Emblem Lord or some other generic Anime JRPG Swordsman (*cough*hack*RateTheirChances*wheeze*Cough). That takes away votes from the likes of King K. Rool, and Isaac's other rivals. Isaac still has no chance because obscure 3rd party crap is cooler than popular first/second party stuff, but hey. Maybe it helps just a little...

I saw that, I was one of the people that were at the event of the haters, how about that one guy who did not want him in at all, his reasons were some of the strangest.
