after SSB64 finals which runs from 3PM-6PM so at 6:00 ET 5:00 CT 4:00 MT 3:00 PT so the announcement comes right before the Super Bowl for me because the Super Bowl starts at 6:30 ET but 5:30 my time.

Yeah, Apex is over. It was all handled accordingly, the whole tournament went off without a hitch.

Sakurai's main fear with DLC is that he fears it will be viewed as greedy and as bad as the other companies doing DLC, that is the only concern he expressed, well the base game is done with no glaring technical issues, they truly did work hard, and any DLC we get feels like a bonus to a great game, even veterans who were not playable in the base game, being paid DLC would feel like something new we want more DLC because it is extra content to a completed game, that enhances the experience. Wolf being DLC would enhance the gameplay experience of Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS, since him being playable would be the icing on the cake to make this game even more fun. Sakurai has no fear, releasing Wolf as DLC, would not be viewed as withholding content just to get extra money, it would be viewed as an enhancer to a perfect game, that is worth paying for. Tingle DLC for Hyrule Warriors is not viewed as withheld content, it is viewed as an enhancement to a completed game. Let Sakurai know Wolf DLC will make people happy, and will be our icing on the cake for this game.

I don't know if this makes any difference, but when registering my copy of Smash Bros. Brawl for Club Nintendo (since I was trying any way that I could to get more coins), I mentioned in the survey that I wanted Lucas, Wolf, and Snake to be brought back as DLC. It might not amount to much, but I figure that something might come of it if enough people do the same thing.

Like Krystal, I am also a Wolf supporter here and I personally cannot forgive Sakurai for removing Wolf from the initial roster for some other characters like the Mii Fighters or Dark Pit for instance which were not even necessary. Anyway, aside from all that, like Fox and Krystal, he is also my favorite Starfox character in both the series and in Smash. I really enjoyed using him after all that and there were times that he would help me win matches in Brawl along with Fox. As of now, Wolf is pretty much the "Mewtwo" of Smash 4 since Mewtwo was removed from Brawl's roster after Melee and now he is coming back because of DLC. That is why I beleive that Mewtwo is not going to be the only DLC character that we are getting and we could get a few more and with Starfox Wii U over the horizon coming out this year(not to mention that Nintendo is making a big deal out of it even though we don't have any footage from the new game yet; along with Zelda and both of those games being compatible with Amiibos), this makes all of us Starfox supporters want to see Wolf for instance to come back as a playable character. I don't care if I have to pay 5 to 10 dollars(or even a bit more) just to get him for DLC. I just want to play with him once again for Smash 4. Besides, just because Fox has some of the moves in his customs doesn't mean that hinders Wolf at all to come back. Besides, some of the clone characters in Smash 4 happen to have the same movesets as their counterparts it's not even funny.

I wholly agree with you and I tried Dark Pit the other day and liked him but all of that aside you are right Wolf is the new Mewtwo of Smash and I think by the time StarFox Wii U releases Wolf will be revealed to be SSB4 DLC.

"Witholding Content" was the only fear Sakurai had with DLC, not his health, like most people claim.
Plus we've found no character data on the disk, so there's nothing to prove those characters were planned or withheld, see what I mean, all we have is speculation, no hard evidence, and the game can clearly handle more DLC.
He said that just cause Namco is developing the game doesn't mean they get special treatment, and well they kind of did. Though Sakurai's trolling can be a bit unprofessional at times, he went a little too far with Ridley, not deconfirming him outright when he should have, but instead waiting and making it even worse for the Ridley fans. He never said Mewtwo is the only DLC, he just said he didn't have any plans at the moment, well that was 2 months ago, he's been quite on more DLC ever since. More DLC is clearly in high demand. Sakurai's fear of withholding content is the only concern Sakurai has expressed with DLC, not his health like so many people say ( Sakurai probably has ergonomics helping him out with his hand, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_factors_and_ergonomics) Since Sakurai scrubbed the disk of any leftover character data, we can't tell if anyone was truly withheld or not, so that means that there's no problems with doing more character DLC.

DLC can prevent there from being another "Mewtwo of smash" That's why we must push hard for Wolf DLC. ( and other DLC when the time comes)

Hmmm, interesting. So I do hope Sakurai can overcome his fears, especially since there is a high demand for DLC. He has done things to please the fans before, and if he wants to continue doing so, I am sure adding more DLC would be a great way of pleasing the fans further more, don't you think?
