A maw gawd.

Thanks for letting me know the turnip system still goes past 500 Ethan.

I can't come to your town now, but it's still a life saver to know it's safe to play the market.

People.

One turnip is worth 639 bells at my town.

=)
You.... are.... so damm lucky. D:

I'm still trying to find money glitches so I can pay off my mortgage. The GC one was soo easy, I wish they had the island copy glitch again. ;_;

I have the Kirby Fountan of Dream as my town theme. :D

I didn't play today because Nook's Cranny was being upgraded and...it's sort of useless playing the game when that happens :/
I've started donating some common fish and insects to the museum =D That will be one of my greatest accomplishments.
I caught a Pike....it looked pretty big and famous....is it?

Whatever puts food on the table (...or turnips rofl).

But on a more serious note, yeah I play quite a bit, but this is so I can quickly get back to a strong focus on Brawl. With my financial plan, I should be able to make 15 million before January. Then I can upgrade my house, get another bridge, get the fountain, get the windmill, and buy the elegant set.

And I'm doing this why I still can, I'm pretty sure I don't wanna be doing this during finals.

Okay so I've got Nookway now, so that leaves one more upgrade I think.

'Tis good too.
Yeah.

What really irks me, though, is Tom Nook's hours. Nook's Cranny has some pretty good hours, 8AM - 10PM. Nook 'N Go has the best hours at 7AM - 1AM. Then Nookway drops back to 8AM - 10PM...but that's still not too bad.

Then Nookington's, the store you strive to have, has the WORST hours. 9AM - 9PM. If it weren't for the vastly improved selection, Nookington's really wouldn't be worth it, because without time traveling, it's totally inconvenient. You have a monopoly over the town and you close at 9PM, and open again at 9AM? Thanks a ton, mobster raccoon. (Yes, he's a mobster raccoon. Don't deny it.)

I'm thinking about getting this game for my 10-year-old sister. I want to get her something that she'll like, but not something that she'll play 24/7.

I don't understand.

I thought the Nintendo 'hardcore' doesn't consider this game to be 'hardcore.'

And yet, they're playing it.

DOESN'T COMPUTE!

1st step in this thread and I already smell a flame war D:

Anyway, I'm buying this game soon (likely this weekend). If I don't get it then, I'll have to wait for my birthday, dec 7 :(.

No, I don't consider it to be hardcore.

But it's fun. Not all hardcore gamers are shallow, they just genuinely hate a lot of casual games. Some casual games can be fun, just the majority of them (e.g. WiiFAIL titles, mini-game collections on the Wii, etc.) aren't.

Hardcore =/= Fast Action Gameplay.

Animal Crossing is hardcore in it's own genre. Do you know any other "life-like" game where there are NEARLY ENDLESS furniture pieces, fish, bugs, hats, umbrellas, and music to collect?

Store them in your mail.
This.

I keep my shovel, fishing rod, net, and slingshot out, at the ready, for easy cycling via the control pad. But my watering can and axe stay in my letters, since I never have to get them out quickly and I don't use them that often (not throughout playing, anyways -- like, I use my watering can for a good 5-10 minutes, but it's only once as I'm playing).

My first fishing trip with my Ganondorf Mask consisted of catching...

4 Barred Knifejaws
1 Football Fish
1 Red Snapper
1 SEA BASS, ONLY ONE
The rest were all dabs.

I wear my Ganny mask when I go fishing now...

WTF.

You know GracieGracie? With all the red and black furniture?

Well, I just saw the New AC commercial, and when she goes into GG, the store is the same, but the items and furniture are different!! She had all "candy" type furniture for sale!

You guys should check out All is Crossing, a new AC:City Folk website (it's a sister site of All is Brawl). Lots of Smashers who play AC there, plus a great online catalog of fish/insects/fossils that tells you when & where you can catch each (what months/times and what part of the world) + how much they sell for, AND lets you save to the website your personal list of things you've caught... which lets you see all November fish found in the river that you haven't caught, as an example. There's also a Thanksgiving theme contest going on if you're into decorating. Check it out maybe?

In the words of Frank Barone,
HOLY CRAP!

On November 30th, my Tom Nook store is going to have a 5x as many points sale.

What does this mean?

Well, let's get the facts.

- I currently have 626 points.
- I need 6,000 points for the epic Samus Mask.

Now, from there, let me use math to explain the rest.

6,000 - 626 = 5,374 (How many points I still need)

5,374 * 100 = 537,400 (How many bells I would need to spend to get them)

537,400 / 5 = 107,480 (How many bells I need to spend if I get 5x as many points for money spent at Tom Nook's)

What does this mean?

IF I SPEND 108,000 BELLS AT TOM NOOK'S WHEN HE'S HAVING THAT SALE, I CAN GET MY SAMUS MASK!

Hopefully he'll have an appropriate amount of furniture and everything to spend that much money, BUT if all else fails I don't think he runs out of stationery ever (someone correct me if I'm wrong, or support me if I'm right, so I can be sure). While it'll be tedious as hell, if I can spend the remaining cash I need to spend on stationery, I can definitely get it.

Heh, I'll try. Just keep that rhino away from me...I think it was his revenge after I hit him with an axe. >.>

Yes, it is the one open until 1 AM. It has the best hours, so be happy you have it.
