ZSNES / snes9x question

so I'm playing super mario world ROM hacks and I'm tired of always having to hold down the run button (F is my run key) so is there a way to make the F button always be held down? or at least whenever I press left or right the F button is automatically held down. After an hour or two of playing holding down F key my finger starts to hurt.

Make it the spacebar and rest your hand on it.

Set the run command to the same as the left/right commands.
