Who's in your pool? Assuming you're talking about SKTAR? (I don't keep up with tournies/Brawl anymore, so I'm just guessing based on my FB feed lol.)

Man, big tournies really enjoy giving me the doom and gloom pools. Bleh!
isnt every pool a death pool when you use zelda/sheik? your pool isnt THAT bad is it? only pool that looks easy is mikehaze's pool imo ( it will be an interesting one to see who climbs to the top)

earlier someone complained about having 3 MKs in his pool and I was like "this is BRAWL!!!"

That's awesome. Not that you weren't already my Zelda hero, but you're my Zelda hero. Embarrass
(Now you could be my Zelda god if you dropped that Sheik ***** completely.)

Well, just here to say that I've lost all my interest in being a cook.
At least on my current fry cook job, which is stressing, demand A LOT of physical effort, I keep making costly mistakes and hate how some people there treat me.

I feel like I don't want to go to work anymore, but I signed a 3-month contract and I've completed only 2... Also the money is always a nice thing....

But still, I'm 99% sure once the contract is finished they'll re-contract me but now as dishwasher. Everyone tells me so all the time.

It's like I just am not fit for the position nor will ever be.
And then again, I really don't know what kind of work I really want...

Really sorry to hear that, Kyo.

The job I had a bit over a year ago left me with the same feeling.... I spent my entire life thinking I wanted to be a vet/some type of animal care professional, but after working knee-deep in the industry (past the assistant, retail, and other low-level positions), I realized it wasn't for me. I still love working with animals, but now I know it'll strictly be on a casual basis or as a hobby, not a career.

It sucks to suddenly think, "well, wtf do I want to do now?" but you'll figure it out. :) I'm not a huge fan of self-help books, but I do recommend taking a look at one called What Color Is Your Parachute? (If you torrent, PM me and I can send you a link to download the pdf.) You can skip over all the hokey introductory stuff, but a lot of the practical exercises are useful for figuring out where your interests, skills, and past experience might intersect into a new passion or career path.

Super sorry to hear about all this Kyo, I'm sure all things will get better.

Also, finished 1-2 in bracket. Lost to Atomsk, beat True Blue and then lost to PWii. I had a blast with this tourney and pretty inspired to try to have one good run at a national. Even though I won't be able to practice too much, I definitely want to make some more noise.

Don't say you'll never be fit for something. Cook jobs are HARD and if this was your first go at that then you shouldn't expect to be awesome at it. Besides, mismanaged kitchens are a peso a dozen and that might have worsened your situation. Taking time off being a cook is a good idea but ruling out cooking after only one bad experience is a bit rushed considering it's something you wanted to do imo.

If cooking doesn't work out in the end you can always make it a leisure activity.

Watched the match vs Atomsk on stream, was pretty close.
Also, Florida always have presence wherever you go.

By that I meant that I wasn't fit for *this* job at *this* place.
Maybe fry cook is not for me, I could be a baker, a barman, a barista or whatever, but apparently not this.
But thank you for the concern anyway :)

"a peso a dozen" is somehow hilarious.

I do want to continue with this for several reasons, one of them being the time, effort and money I already spent on this so I want to improve into whatever branch I fit and make it worth.
Another reason is that I really love to serve food to people. Show them something unconventional I made that they can enjoy.
Derived from that, my career dream is NOT to have a 100-table place with tons of customers and like 50 reservations every night. I just want to have a small place with a menu with few, carefully-crafted dishes and a comfortable ambience... y'know, just a nice place to be.
I know kitchen overall is a difficult place to be, and I have to make a lot of efforts and sacrifices, but it is also unhealthy to stay in a place you don't feel good at. I want to look for alternatives because is the thing I REALLY want to do, so I need the right kind of experience before getting there.[/collapse]

EDIT: the hell is wrong with SWF's formatting?
EDIT 2: and now it's fixed. WTF

I wanted to beat Atomsk so bad, I honestly think I should've gone to Zelda game 3 but I was feeling high on Sheik.

I love cooking but there are just times where customers are likely to cause me to want to rip their faces off.

I think your loss was payment enough. All is forgiven. <3

Seriously though, would've been amazing if you could've pulled off that set.
