Zero to death debait

Hello, me and my "friends" are having a heated argument about how a zero to death works. I told them that it does not matter what percentage that you are at as long as the opponent goes from 0 to death and as soon as the opponent takes any damage then the 0 to death begins and as soon as you take damage it ends. Does it have to be a true combo or any combo at that, Or can I just do whatever and just not take damage?

You can pretty much do what ever but you can't be hit after they aren't at 0, you can be at 999, just don't get hit. hope this helped!

Zero to death: Taking a stock without taking any damage from the player during that player's stock. Void/offscreen damage doesn't count. If you already have damage, get a KO, then take the next stock while still not taking any damage, also a 0 to death.
