Zelda's Dsmash Quick Question

So, apparently zelda's dsmash comes out in four frames. Does this include the hitbox behind her at the beginning of the attack? Before zelda kicks in front of her, she actually can hit someone close behind her with the kick. So I'm asking, is this included in this 4 frame execution time, or does this part of the attack come out even sooner?

P.S. Shouldn't someone create a help thread for the zelda boards? Who is the mod here anyway? I wouldn't have to make a thread for these simple questions if we had a "Ask (Whoever)" thread.

The hitbox you're talking about is from her front leg's 4 frame execution time. There is no hitbox coming from behind her. So if someone behind you is hit by the kick, they must be REALLY close to be hit by it.

Yeah, now I'm pretty sure I was just hitting them with the front of the attack, they were prolly just leaning into me enough for it to happen.

On a side note though... WHO IS THE MOD HERE?!

Don't really know. Ryoko would be my personal guess, as he is a mod and has a lot of zelda knowledge.

As to answer the question, it is the front of the attack, as her leg twirls all the way around her. Don't forget this is a disjointed hitbox, so it will clang with Marth's sword if timed.

D Smash

Total: 39
Charge frame: 2
Hit: 4-7, 13-16
Leg invincible: 4-16
IASA: 32

It's not really a disjointed hitbox, more of an invincibility frame.
And frames 4-7 is the front, while 13-16 is behind.
I assume when you hit behind the opponent was close enough to zelda to get hit by the back of the first part.

Mods are at the bottom, i believe there are a few... including ryoko and warrior of zarona

It is that weak usually, but it sends them at a nearly horizontal angle, so it's good at the edge to send them off the stage. Not to mention that it's preferable to using her jab in many circumstances.

It's good because it's her fastest attack on the ground. It comes out faster than most grabs, so instead of dodging it is often better to dsmash instead.
