So my English teacher just assigned us a 10 page research paper on "a problem". He said it needs to be something we actually care about.

Highly tempted to ask about writing a paper on why Zelda is a badly designed fighter :secretkpop:
Or why she needs to be banned
No lie last year in Ceramics I had to do the same thing except obviously I had to sculpt something instead of write an essay.

The problem I chose was the amiibo supply and I got permission to do it.
10/10 would do again (because the Villager amiibo I made fell apart cri)

Cress! Cress! were Lv★ weapons a thing in the Wii U version?
Basically what everyone else said, I don't believe that 8 bit weapons are in Legends (except for maybe Link's sword because Link always gets the special treatment.)
But aren't Star weapons just the level 3 weapons with a gold background and more damage?

That's what it seems like. This is the only one I've gotten so far though (lmao getting an A rank with Toon Link is too hard).

Toon Link is bad and boring to play

Skull Kid is fun, but most of his combos are lame and take 7 years to actually do anything

Tetra is bae

King Daphnes is cool

Those must have been DLC or something. I remember on the Wii U the master sword's true form did 500 damage and was the strongest weapon in the game. I haven't played HW in a long time so take that with a grain of salt.

I still think Lana feels/acts like an Idol, with her dancing and poses.

Btw girls. I know this is old news, but I heard that Machamp may end up being ridiculously good in Gen 7. Especially in VGC.

Get a Machamp in Gen 1, transfer to Pokemon Bank > Sun/Moon. Machamp can learn Fissure in Gen 1, and have No Guard as one of its abilities. :troll:

That is IF they bring back the Ability Capsules, and if you can get the right nature.

They should have chosen a cool fighting type like Hitmontop instead of him

The Wii U version had Link's 8 bit sword added for free in the first update, but the rest were DLC. The Master Sword is still the most powerful weapon in Legends as it was buffed to a ludicrous 900 strength. (It was 500 in the Wii U version btw)

I think they're making weapons stronger since characters are weaker and I'm fine with that balance. But I believe that weapons affected damage more than levels in the Wii U version, but I could see weapon choice in Legends making a huge impact, maybe... triple or quadruple damage between a level 1 and a perfect Star level weapon? The power difference between a level 1 and a level Star with no stars or skills is already over double the damage (this is including character strength). Now I'm thinking that a level 1 Link with a perfect level Star weapon would most likely do more damage than a max level Link with a level 1 weapon.

tl;dr Weapon choice in the Wii U version is like choosing a dull blade vs a sharp blade. Weapon choice in Legends is like choosing a sword-shaped pillow vs Corrin's flaming chainsaw sword.

That is a radically untrue statement and you know it is

Will Smith fish has more quality in his CGI lips than the entirety of Sharkboy and Lavagirl

Shark Tale was a meh movie imo. It was fun in the theater but didn't really have anything special. At least it wasn't absurdly overrated and over-hyped like a certain ice themed computer graphic Disney movie.

The store I work at sells a ton of that brand of dressings.

I've never actually tried any of them.

Maybe I should change that.

UGH... Hitmontop... Hitmonlee: kicks or pretty much TKD or karate and Bruce Lee, Hitmonchan: punches, so boxing and the "-chan" part is a reference to Jackie Chan, and then Hitmontop... spins on his head... there is pretty much no freaking martial art you can associate with Hitmontop that would look appropriate, but nope, Hitmontop is associated with capoeira. What part of capoeira even remotely resembles spinning on your head and kicking? The spin kicks? Oh, wait, that can work with Hitmonlee, the kick Pokémon. The handstand kicks? Hitmonlee. The shuffle? Even Hitmonlee works despite it ruining the whole Bruce Lee and his signature stance. Seriously, could you imagine Hitmonlee moving like this? With longer legs, it'd look more natural than stubs for arms and a helmet head Hitmontop.

A different Hitmon- could be made and called "Hitmoncrowder" in reference to Lateef Crowder, "Hitmonshuffle", "Hitmondance" and it would be more appropriate. Or why not go with Hitmonram for tackle, shootboxer, Muay Thai flying knees if you want to go with a real martial art? I'd rather see Hitmontop basically act like the Tazmanian Devil and be this whirlwind of kicks instead of... something barely resembling a capoeira practitioner.

I've been playing thru Fire Emblem Birthright, and I'm absolute trash at it

I was trying to make a picture of my avatar with the Kamui Generator, but my haircut of choice wasn't there

My pick is usually the low fade with that nice swoosh to make it look really nice, It's so underrated it isn't even on there. ;-;

Young Brotha Corrin is the best corrin, he needs to hook me up with his barber.

Then he looks sorta like me....if I didn't put lotion on for two years.

Kamui is sooo pastey. I wish he stood in the sun some.

Oh yeah this was all just a plug for....

this'll catch on one day, I promise

Side note: Hitmontop's japanese name is Capoeira, which is a martial art, and its idle animation is Capoeira's idle stance.

Hey guys gorls, I'm back....I think. Darn, it's been too long. Doesn't help that I've got Fire Emblem Fates of release day. The game's got me hooked!

Late night amiibo time!
IMG_4344.JPG

Amiibo activity has slowed a bit, so nothing much here for now. Wait...I actually have a series of pics documenting the rearrangement of my collection. I'll post it tomorrow though if I can remember.
