Oh wow. I'm so done right now @ TTTTTsd TTTTTsd . GGs.

Your Mario & Luigi are tough to fight, but that Ganon v Bowser was hilarious. And sorry for taking a while on the selection screen, I was chatting with my Mother on whether to go to another University for further education or to look for a job.

Also, :4falcon: is still stupid and needs to get nerfed.

Whew! Literally all played out today! GGs to @ EODM07 EODM07 and @ Macchiato Macchiato they were a lot of fun!

My notes are
- Stick with Mario and play Doc for fun
- Sink time into Falco and Marth
- Lolfalcon
- Lolfalcon

My Mario's in good shape because Doc taught me good things and when I applied them to Mario **** got real. I was originally going to main Mario so I guess I'm glad he's super good. Wish he had a Doc costume, I just like the aesthetic : (

Gorls, I'm starting to become worried. The more I play other characters, I'm starting to get better results with them than Zelda. I'll never drop her (for Sm4sh), but she needs more useful buffs to be on par with the other characters before I can really feel like I can win most matchups with her and not have to rely on a secondary when playing against someone else of equal/greater skill. The pain of maining a consistent low tier. Gimme those frame data buffs and not a stupid Din's Sak. They already fixed Fsmash, Usmash, Phantom, and decreased landing lag on everything except Bair/Fair, and that's still not enough. The % buffs are meh.

Don't be ashamed. I only secondary Doc now as well, I dabble in Mario, Marth, and Falco these days. Trust me, it's always fine in friendlies but if you're going in srs you want the backup big guns.

Well, me and @ TTTTTsd TTTTTsd had a long talk about our mains and all that good stuff.

Also, instead of going to look for a job, I might be able to go to another University. Part time will take me six years, but who knows. I might pull through, but I dunno. I feel like I may last two years max on it part time if I ended up fluffing up like I did. :V
I won't let it get to me.

And I'll definitely make sure to improve with my Roy. And hopefully with Lucina too. Also, trying to learn some Japanese as well, trying to learn Hiragana first before I try Katakana.

Yeah, I have actually only ever played against one Zelda user which is why I was hoping ti get some more exposure.

Also same here. College will take some time. But hang in there and keep at it!

hmmm, it was hard because I was using dark pit and not my main, but from looking at it

Mario and Falco
Yeah, they seem to be the ones I take off the limiter for. I can't not play Doc though, he was who I started with and who I stuck by. But I'm definitely gonna put time into Mario and Falco fosho. Marth and Doc on the side I guess, and anything else just in friendlies cause you can sort of do that in this game (character rotation)

Good games @ Suicidal_Donuts Suicidal_Donuts

As I expected you wrecked me. I can never time or read Zelda's attacks for some reason, especially that Up Special.

You were really good, though!! (:

And thanks for the matches! It was fun even though I basically lost all of them. I do think I am starting to get a better grasp on facing her, however.

GGs to you too! I'm glad you're starting to learn how to counter her, that's what matters. I used to secondary Jiggles, so here's some advice:

Try to space more with Fair, and retreat quickly if it doesn't look safe. Abuse your air dodges because you're Jigglypuff, but don't use them at the wrong time or else you'll get hit. Remember you have the second fastest air speed and poop ground speed. Don't always stay in the air because sometimes you'll need to perfect shield for a punish (such as Rest, which you used well). If you need to, recover down towards the ledge instead of on stage in case someone gets you with an anti air. Oh yeah, and make sure to reset your jumps frequently, because running out offstage will lead to your stock being taken from you.

You were pretty good though, you had a great combo game and could land Rest better than I can, but just don't get too careless! You were better about it later on. I hope our matches helped a lot.

Jigglypuff fits my style perfectly, because no matter what character I play, I love to jump around. I love jumping and being so mobile in the air, but sometimes I get a bit...overzealous, haha. But I will remember all your advice. I definitely need to dodge and retreat more, as I get too aggressive sometimes.

The matches helped a lot! Thank you so much for the help and for the advice! I appreciate it! :D

Once I get a bit better, I hope we can battle again sometime!

@ S.F.L.R_9 S.F.L.R_9 Sorry gorl, my parents are yelling at me to go now, lol. Very nice characters! I'd like to play your Palutena and Shulk in particular some other time (idk anything about then).

Good games!

Late but...
Beats: :4bowser::4dedede: I'm pretty sure of due to high end-lag and ability to be juggled/carried off stage. Also big bodies = dair>dair>rest. I feel like she probably bodies D3 because she doesn't care about his gordo traps due to lingering hitboxes whenever she presses A and multiple jumps.
:4ganondorf::4falcon::4zss: are maybe even?

That's all I got off the top of my head. I don't play puff except for rest and edge guards, so yeah. While I have kind of a low competitive opinion of her too, rest is scary. I got traumatized for whiffing an ftilt as Marth and getting rest punished for it. Who does that.
I can see Dedede, Bowser not so much. Bowser has a pretty decent reactive defensive game and loves rage. Game & Watch struggles against Bowser for those reasons, but I could see Jigglypuff doing better (just marginally) because her aerials autocancel and she has multiple jumps. I could see her beating Dedede but she has to play around his disjoints and insane survivability. Gordos shouldn't be used in neutral much but Puff is very good at deflecting them. I should probably count Rest into more of her matchups than I do but I don't have the guts to go for it very often.

The main reason I feel Jigglypuff is bad is because her mobility doesn't allow her to get in on most characters and she can't force approaches. Her air speed and weaving are excellent especially when combined with her multiple jumps but the majority of characters can either just wait for her to try to approach and respond by either hitting her out of the air or shielding her approaches. Sufficient disjoints can consistently snuff her attacks as well. She's pretty decent once she gets in but it's very hard for her to do so and her light weight does her no favors. She's also highly vulnerable to the occasional meteor but that's more anecdotal than anything.

@ TTTTTsd TTTTTsd you dropped Ryu?

I wouldn't say dropped but, I don't know if I can play him outside of you know, for fun. I've been focusing on chars I understand a bit more. Ryu is....certainly really good though!

I'm just dying to play against people on this thread, but I have to wait about a month until I get my Wii U back. For now, I'll just stalk the Zelda Sheik social.

Orbital Gate Assault isn't a stage, it's an arena of survival and the one who doesn't die from everything that's going on wins.
Sakurai, if you spent a YEAR making that stage, then why is it not even playable????

Just from reading this, reminds me of when my friend used to play Jigglypuff. It was always a pretty fun matchup, you can't really combo Puff that easily (I used Mario and Doc at the time) so it's pretty interesting.

Have you thought of trying other high air mobility characters, like say, Yoshi or Mario? Just out of curiosity.
