I encourage everybody to do a tbh too. Would liven up the thread. Order of people is the order of the likes based on the list.

@ Antonykun Antonykun You seem like a nice guy and we'd get along fine. I feel like you are a bit too trigger happy with the likes though that isn't a bad thing! Would be interested to know where you're from out of personal curiosity. Hope you get a Wii U soon so you can play everybody here.

@Rickster You are actually one of my top favourite Zelda players. You play differently from almost every other Zelda (maybe our playstyles are somewhat similar?) and I have a ton of respect for you as a player. I wish you would be more confident because I think you're quite skilled and have a ton of potential. Think we have a huge age difference but I would love to meet ya :)

@ Space Stranger Space Stranger Um... name is familiar but I just don't recall much about you. Sorry but I don't backtrack in this thread and only read the current page. Must have missed many of your posts or my browsing time does not coincide with your posting times.

@SBphiloz4 My fellow local player :) I am so impressed with your Zelda and how much you actually improved despite what you say about being crap. How's your injury now though it sounds like you are recovering well since you're back to playing? Take a break from studying and come over again or let's go somewhere.

@ McKnightlíght McKnightlíght I have seen you here for so long but don't have a strong impression of you. I guess you like Fujin a lot? It was awesome when he was here and everybody else didn't talk like him, tbh.

@r_greening1 I think you're new here as well? I did play you before but I think you should focus strictly on one character, Zelda or otherwise. Hope you keep it up and see you here in the long run.

@♥Zanda•JGPT♥ Are you new here? Not familiar with you at all and what a shame about the lag today :(

I occassionaly posted earlier in the thread but recently returned. You might have seen my name in the older pages. I might do a "tbh post" later because I'm really tired at the moment.

All of you high school kids should seriously consider going into a trade. Please don't think that college is your only option. College is fine and all and can be very beneficial, but if you don't know what you want to study or you don't have the means to go into college please at least think about becoming an apprentice of a trade. At least until you are financially stable to afford a higher education. No one should have to suffer crippling debt just because someone says that they HAVE to go to college.

How would you guys rate Splatoon? Is it worth getting?
It's a good game. Just feel that the gameplay is linear/stale in the sense that all you do is spray ink to win. There could be some special depth to the game that I may not know, but whatever, I don't even have the game.

Splatoon is really cool. Not boring even after several games, because it's really quick and intense.

Two issues I've read about but can't confirm because lolnointernet are:

You can't back out of online matchmaking unless you shut off the game even to change gear (THIS MAY NOT BE RIGHT, may just be that you'll lose a good group if you back out)

You can't set up matches with your friends

I can see why they'd do the latter (prevent skilled players from crushing some poor kids lol) but the first is stupid, I had hoped it was just a testfire quirk but I guess not.

Main complainsts otherwise:
Limited modes, no voice chat, repetitive and unskippable introductions, limited (5) maps, and (for me right now) shops are unusable unless you have internet.

Basically game is solid and fun but various things are lacking or unpolished.

I'll help you out on confirming some of these.

The only way you can change your gear currently is to back out of the lobby. I really hope they change this.

You can. But... not currently. I'll come as a free update on August. I wished it came with the base game but I guess they wanted to release the game as soon as they can.

Main complainsts otherwise:
Limited modes, no voice chat, repetitive and unskippable introductions, limited (5) maps
More modes are coming soon like the Ranked Battle. Which will unlock in a week or two. More modes and maps have been confirmed to come in the future. Confirmed modes to come (2). Confirmed maps to come (4).

As for voice chat, I agree it's definitely a downside to the game.

(for me right now) shops are unusable unless you have internet.
I didn't know this. I'm guessing your Wii U can't connect to the internet.

The game is definitely solid for a first entry on this type of game/franchise. I'll definitely improve in time or in a sequel.

Not currently, I've been without internet for the last few days. Normally my connection is fine though.

The fact that a lot of the lacking features are "coming," especially as free downloads, is a little dumb. It makes me agree with a few of the reviews that it feels a little rushed. Why not just release the game a little later with all this content so the game feels more complete from the get-go? I almost think they were expecting the gameplay and the aesthetic to carry Splatoon. And they do, to an extent. But people don't want to pay for half a game. DLC is okay as a concept, but I'd rather have it as bonuses for the game than as essential or as content that "completes" a game, which is kind of what it feels like for Splatoon. Developers are getting lazy with their prerelease versions because they can just patch/add stuff on later.

It is a little dumb. I agree. The game would have been better off being released in August.

However, I can't argue that the coming content is free of charge. We'll get a more complete game in time.

Maybe they are releasing little by little so they can patch things and add things that the community is asking for. I dunno really, the last time I dealt with "DLC" was when I had Street Fighter II and then I bought Street Fighter II Turbo.

This was on the SNES btw.

Afternoon girls. How's everyone doing today? :4zelda:

Just bought the Special Edition of Splatoon and the Inkling Girl Amiibo online earlier today, and I'll probably get some cash off the standard version. So that means I'll have one copy of Splatoon for playing, and the other for display. :yeahboi:

Ain't paying for the Inkling Boy Amiibo yet. That thing is quite pricey, £30 on Amazon. Seriously!?

Also, saw Episode 9 of Yuki-chan, some stuff is going down now. :3
And I just started to read Hatsune Mix. Alot of art on the first few pages, and nice to see Meiko and Kaito go under the names of "Onee-san" and "Onii-san". x3

So I'm gonna pick up Injustice because why not? I've been using Killer Frost for a while and she's incredibly solid. Very easily top 10.
You see the slide move she does to start her combos, it's also safe on shield and slide very far which is p dumb. She's like ZSS if ZSS' dash attack was safe. She's a zoner and a rushdown, but oh well she's fun to play. I've been considering Zatanna but she's probably the hardest to learn in the whole game which is too much.

The game isn't rushed. If you look at all the trailers and stuff there are a lot of missing content that is practically finished. (You can even play on two of the upcoming multiplayer maps in single player.)

What they are actually doing is...well an interesting strategy if nothing else. They are trying to release content over a period of time to keep the hype going.

I honestly don't know how to feel about it. In terms of maps and weapons it seems like a good idea. Because even if there was like 15 maps at the start, there is potential for me to get bored of it. One of two ranked matches I also understand. But the friend matching I don't understand that much at all. Nor restricting splatzone until a lot of people reach level 10.

Re: Splatoon, the game is ridiculously fun but I feel like only the core gameplay was thought through well - very well, to be fair - but the options available are really disappointing. Why can't I change guns between games? Why can't I change the sensitivity of the right anlogue stick? Why can't I turn the music off but keep sound on? Why is the pro controller not an option (map jump to L, super jumps to d-pad, sorted)? Why does the game boot you to the lobby every time it decides to change the maps - speaking of which, two maps at a time...?

Blargh, I know these are all nitpicks, the game is fun as hell. It's like having sex with the girl of your dreams while someone taps you on the head with a spoon every half a second - no less fantastic, but ridiculously infuriating.
