Try it and see for yourself. I bet someone will pick Yoshi in the next match so he can try it.

It got to the point where all 4 of us was using Yoshi. 3 of us was doing that trick at the same time in the Temple stage.
What's funny is that some people will try Kirby in the next match thinking it'll be the same as the Pictochat glitch. Nope. It only works with Yoshi. He has more places where it can be done. And it only works on a right side of a downward angle. NOT the left side.
I used that trick during some of my fighting matches. It helps if you know when and where to use it. The stars Yoshi makes can keep people away. But he can still be attacked from above or below. Ness and Lucas can restore energy from the stars. Mr. Game and Watch can fill his bucket from the stars as well. So watch out.
The trick can be done in the "Spear Pillar" stage. You HAVE to wait until the center of the stage breaks apart. On the left side of the opening, you'll see the downward angle.
It also works on some of the art created in the Pictochat stage. That's why I was in that stage for a while in my video. I was waiting for the Pyramid to show up.
