I've been playing 3.0 a lot yeah. But wow I've neglected this thread for so long without realizing it lol, I feel really bad if I don't keep my word. I just did a couple quick touchups to Mirage Samus and ZSS, so maybe I can squeeze a couple more of them before moving back on to Wolf, Lucas, or Luigi.

Doing way too many things at once. I should have some Wolf textures up soon, just need to do the vBrawl portraits. In addition to working on Smash 3 Samus, I'll probably will move onto either Falco revamps and a new texture or two, or starting fresh again with Luigi.

I'm sorry for all the procrastinating and stuff, but I've finally gotten around to finishing something. It's not much, but at least you guys will know I'm not dead or anything.

Soon I'll try to squeeze in some Luigi textures and update all of my stages to 3.02 standards.

Just updated the music pack. Going to try and finish what's left of my stages later tonight and tomorrow and then update their Dropbox links.

All you need is BrawlBox (0.71 is the latest one) and a program for editing audio (I use Audacity). Open the BRSTM in BrawlBox, write down the loop point somewhere and keep it for when I'm going to reimport it, save the BRSTM as a .wav, open the .wav in Audacity, adjust volume, export as .wav and save, import into BrawlBox, set the loop points, save it as a BRSTM, and that's it.

Alternatively, you can use this code to change specific songs volumes without having to modify the .brstm (which can cause distortion and clipping).
my fault:facepalm: i knew i should have clarified. ive been digging through music threads for hours last night, to no avail simply because... I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF CODING MODDING HACKING ETC, AND BY EXTENSION, NO IDEA HOW TO IMPLEMENT THAT CODE. i am not neo from the matrix. i saw that thread while digging but since (see earlier sentence) i looked elsewhere. i barely managed to change the songs due to a couple how to videos, but coding? that is beyond me.
since i used brawlbox and audacity to get the songs on pm i'll follow the other method posted above

I got your 3.02 version of Mars Destination, and I noticed that the Final Destination stage itself was purple instead of red. Is there any way I can make it red like in the preview?

Oh s***, I forgot to export the CLR0 data for each stage and reimport it afterwards. I'll go fix them right now.

Edit: Mars FD and the Ethereal Trio are fixed, working on the CLR0 data for all 12 Neo FD's right now.

Edit 2: Neo FD's done. Sorry for any inconveniences, guys.

As for my plans for PS2, this is basically what I want to do.

Going to need to do some model editing though.

More stage stuff I'm working on.

Yes! It is! Bowser's Castle!

I'm currently fixing Splat's Bowser's Castle stage. Ever since he first started working on it, there have been lots of issues with it, particularly with the background and stage models. 3 or 4 player matches with characters that had high polygon and facepoint counts would start to create lag and slow down the gameplay. This has been fixed by optimizing the background and main stage platform with the new BrawlBox. However, I had to reimport the background directly from the SSE stage itself, as the old one had many errors and would cause BrawlBox to crash. This also allowed me to remove any extra polygons, models, and textures that didn't need to be in there, as well as fix the background so that it's much larger relative to the stage.

Unfortunately, reimporting the background left me with a few mistakes that still need to be fixed. The smoke and cinder effects in the background, which have messed up materials and textures, and are not showing up at all in the background. A few edits to the cameras, blastzones, and spawn points also need to be made, as well as edits for a vanilla Brawl version and a Project M version. I may also change the lighting to make it a bit more more dim and dark. Overall, except for the small aesthetic fixes that need to be made, the stage is fully functional and playable.

And the more I work on this stage, the more I learn about BrawlBox, models, and materials, which will make creating a hybrid Midair Pokemon Stadium 2 much easier than my attempts in the past.

Forgive my endless stupidity...but is there a way to add these (and obviously, any) stage and character reskins into Smash without hacking your Wii?

Excellent, I look that up straight away. I'm in LOVE with your Moonlit Blue FD and Mirage Samus reskins. Keep up the great work.

EDIT: I seem to be having trouble changing which palettes go where.

Bowser's Castle progress slowly taking shape. Reimported and reoptimized the background so that 4 player matches with all 39 Brawl characters + Mewtwo, Roy, and the alternate costumes do not cause any lag at all. Everything is done except for the stubborn smoke and lava spark materials, which I'm currently trying to get just right. They either show up as a solid black rectangle or are completely missing.

Ooooooo. Oh! Can you do that for sluigi's version as well? Actually I think all you'd have to do was change the position of the platforms to match that one. I could probably do it myself too.

Adding the new and improved Bowser's Castle to the OP.

The main layout of the stage.

It's a triangle layout akin to Battlefield, but the top platform is slightly lower and the side platforms extend to the very edge of the stage.

A shot of the stage from farther away.

The background is very nice, but is still missing a few aesthetic treats that will be added in the future.

Here's King Koopa in the flesh!

I think he likes his new lair!

Don't touch the lava... seriously.

I've made it so that the bottom blastzone is almost directly lined up with the lava, which means if you touch it, you lose a stock or point!

Made some changes to Oceanville's water so that it fixes the transparency issue with the background and looks more ocean-esque, and added/changed some music around.

Will get back to doing Midair Pokemon Stadium 2 soon.

Getting a lot of freezing issues with Midair Pokemon Stadium 2 and is really frustrating me.

Gonna take a break from working on it and do some Smash 3 stuff.

After a long hiatus I've finally went ahead and done something. Added a new section and updated my old Gecko OS forwarder channel. Will have a video of it up soon here, as well as on its own thread I made a long time ago.

I know both you and SJS are very busy as of late and have your own separate agendas, but I feel so sad I can't use your textures since there aren't any SJS portraits for them. Maybe someday it'll happen, but by that time the Smash 3 project you're helping with will probably be finished and I won't even use these lol.

First world problems, I know, but it is kinda getting me down for some reason. Hope you've found a replacement for that door of yours, and good luck with future projects.
