"X"citing, isn't it?: New Music in Brawl Leaves Brawlers Guessing

Sakurai revealed yet another update involving more music which doesn’t relate to anything in the Smash Bros universe and that is from a game called, “X”.<!--more-->

Not a whole lot is known about X other than many of those who went onto do Star Fox helped with this game and the famous Totokaka’s Song is embedded somewhere within the game, though it is unknown how this music is triggered in the game.

Besides the interesting sound of the music, Sakurai made a very important point which some of you should take into consideration with your insane DOJO update theories. And this is what you should keep in mind:

Of course, there is no X stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but this time, the songs in Smash Bros. aren’t limited only to those series represented by characters and stages. We’ve pulled some that are from completely unrelated games.

Can you expect to hear this song or that song? You’ll just have to wait and see.</blockquote>

I'm really liking the new music, and it's interesting to know that we'll be getting music from all corners of Nintendo's history. Can't wait to hear the full version of this, actually.

When I first read "X", I was like "ZOMGWTF Mega Man X's music confirmed???" :laugh: Really good music. Besides the characters, music updates are my favourite ones.

Olimar confirmed(Spaceship music? He's landing on the Dojo! They're fighting for the final smash to avoid his wrath!)

I like this song very much.

And oooooh the speculation on which songs could make it into Brawl!
I mean, now with the possibility of songs from game universes otherwise not represented appearing in Brawl, so much more tunes have the possibilities to make it in.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that maaaaybe some 3rd party songs from unrepresented games "could" (I'm really purely speculating here, I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to confirm anything) make an appearance?
I'd personally love to hear a Castlevania tune appear. (I mean, Konami has Snake already with his own stage and codec conversations and everything)

Oh, and Kickle Cubicle music for the Ice Climbers stage! That'd go so well together (props to anyone who ever played Kickle Cubicle for NES, I personally was addicted to it)

Anyway, nice music update! Me likes!

QFT...hard...very hard!

This was the best part about the update. Even if Simon Belmont won't make it in, we still could hear the awesome tunes that are Castlevania.

Wow. I was about to make fun of saki for putting it in on "my own whims". Then i listened to the song. :lick: Maybe "my own whims" isnt so bad after all... :chuckle:

They should throw in music from the Square games especially if there won't be a character.

Yeah this update isn't really bad at all.

I lol'd at the Smashball part...cause who doesn't know about that?

But anyway, the song is neat and I'm so excited they are gonna be putting great music in Brawl, and you can even pick which music to put on whatever stage!~

So that's exciting. I like the techno/space vibe of this song. (:

well i'm not much addicted to space games music...BTW the music is very good!
it could be on a star fox stage or maybe on a pikmin stage!(if the series is in but c'mon....)

oh and in melee there was already a music from a game which isn't represented(a.k.a. mach rider and ballon fighter.)

It is possible that there was a version of Megaman X released only for the gameboy in Japan.

This is actually an amazing song.
Sakurai has chosen well. I can absolutely imagine to brawl to that music myself.

I loved that game! And, the music was catchy too. It would be awesome to hear it in Brawl.

This song has a retro feel to it, so I'm thinking that this will play on Green Hill Zone, assuming it's Sonic's stage.
