WTF would a ''non asthetically modified'' controller be?

I always hear in tournament rules ''No controller mods except for asthetic''

Does that mean people have tried to MOD their controllers to make it easier to play melee? Like a button to waveshine or something? lol...

Im just curious, does anyone know anything about this topic?

they are talkin about all you can do is paint your controller, you can't modify anything else. Plain and simple.

There are such things as short hop mods and L-cancel mods, which are banned.

I know there's something called a short hop mod. I think you just unscrew your control and make it where either X or Y can only do a short hop no matter how long you have the button depressed.

That's the only one I know about, but I'm sure there are other possiblities out there.
