Hello Forum. I am in the progress of writing a novel. I am a very fun energetic funny person, and this a totally new thing for me, but the ideas are splitting my head open.

-Entitled "Kingsley"
-Genre- Action/Adventure
-Plot- Takes place in (have to change area because it will mostly be seen in the U.S.) America. A boy named Charles and his best friend Garrett are freshman in High school, but little do they know that a story is about to unfold that will bend the very foundations of sanity that they live by. The two will go on a ride that will spin, loop, and crash its way through world upon world, learning new strengths, meeting new people, friends and enemies. All in order to test friendship, loyalty, and trust.

I hope you didn't get inspiration from anime or video games, because putting bluntly, most of these are poorly written. But if you want to write a book, I suggest you do some heavy research into the locations and topics that you are using. And good luck writing it, I can't tell you how many books I've started but never finished either due to writer's block or other reasons.

It'd help if you knew a little about the English schooling system...>_>
So much this.

We don't have freshmen and we don't call it high school. First step of writing a novel about another country is research, a ton of it.

Watch English movies, TV, news etc etc.

Need to inject the authenticity in.

it would be more interesting to read if all of your information was wrong and everything was stereotypical and nothing really made sense at all.

Ah, to write successfully. I think we all like to write (or think of) stories for fun don't we? The only advice that I've ever heard is "write what you know", so I guess that's the advice I'll give to you. Also remember that even the best of writers get their inspiration from others, so read a lot. The best writers are the most prolific readers.

I try to read a novel every week or a series every month.
