Releasing the game right now with the announced characters only would be very underwhelming, so I would probably not buy it. Though... temptation will probably overcome and force me to buy it...

Realistically, I would buy it now and buy the completed version later on. We dealt with 12 characters back in the day. What has changed aside from our expectations?

With the revealed character's so far no but if it looks good when all characters get revealed then yes that also included figuring out which ones are unlockable and which ones are not

Only for a demo to get a feel of the game (with Pit and Bowser), though it wouldn't be fair if they released said demo for one of the 2 systems rather than both. However, I'd rather wait til the full game for maximum experience and better balance. After all, remember that one snapshot that said that DK was super strong? It'd be painful.

I would wait. Part of the excitement of a new Smash Bros is having this big roster and check out every character and how they have changed. It was so thrilling to watch those Japanese videos of C. Falcon making a reverse Falcon Punch, Falco throwing his reflector, everyone's three taunts, all the final smashes. Taking away 16 of those characters early would make it less exciting once the full game finally lands, I want the full experience or nothing.

Absolutely not. The entire reason I love Smash is for it's wide and diverse set of characters, and I could definitely wait for the final version. Of course if buying this early copy and the later one is still an option, then I'd probs get it for 3DS, but it wouldn't make me go buy a Wii U.

I understand he was referring to future smash games, but the funny part is that his statement excluded 64.
I was being funny by implying that Smash Bros 64 wasn't a Smash Bros game because it didn't have ALL of those characters. Just because you can't understand a joke, doesn't make it bad.

Man, a joke really loses its edge when you have to explain it...
