First broken by onGamers earlier today, the World Cyber Games will close doors in 2014. WCG CEO Brad Lee sent a letter out to interested parties informing them of the decision to cease operations early this calendar year. Since 2000, WCG delivered over $4,000,000 in prizes to competitors of the biggest PC Gaming titles, including Starcraft: Brood War, Counter Strike 1.6, and Warcraft 3. However, the WCG never hosted Super Smash Brothers as a main title and it's attention for consoles was limited.
