Wolf must be hell to unlock

If Sonic "is a *****" to unlock, then Wolf must REALLY be hell.

Might as well make share my thoughts on the roster too.

(*Q#@&$(&*$@*(!&!!!!

Sakurai is truly an oddball. The guy can come up with some amazing stuff but he makes the crappiest rosters that are even conceivable and apparently lacks the creativity to give the Animal Crossing guy a moveset. The guy said he was treating this Smash Bros. as if it is the last; that said, he packed this game full of crap and yet completely balls'd it up in some ways. If you're creating this game as if it's the last, I don't think I can excuse the roster.

That being said, I must admit that I hope if there is another Smash Bros. game (Lord willing) that Sakurai is NOT in charge. He's really created an enormous platform for a future director to work with, but I think the next guy/gal should use a little more common sense.

But what if the next guy/gal throws balance completly out of whack and makes the game next to unplayable in terms of what characters can play against what other characters.

Also, I agree that this whole unlocking Wolf thing is taking forever. We know he is there, but we haven't seen him yet.

Were you happy with Melee's roster? This is basically the same thing plus a ton of new characters and features.

I think it's because it's still very early morning over in the hong kong area and japan, I think the person who was leaking all the stuff either has a job or has to go to sleep at some point.

"Were you happy with Melee's roster?" doesn't fly. 3 years and 100 full time employees later I expect an amazing roster, not one that's half-***ed. There was plenty of time and heaven knows there was plenty of space on the disk in order to get a decent roster in, not a lackluster 35.

**** some of you are complete morons. Yes, 100 people worked full time on characters. Definitely. It was definitely space that got us 35 characters.

35 characters is amazing for a fighting game. The characters are awesome (Pokemon Trainer, Meta Knight, Snake, Sonic, ROB). Characters are unique. The game packed to the rim with content.

SSBB draws you in with its characters, keeps you with the gameplay. Unless you've never played SSB before, I don't see why you're so hung up on characters.

don't get wrong, 35 roster from melee, a game who have polls of character popularity, sakurai get THE ***** G WORST options, like ROB?? instead of cool characters in the poll?? also mewtwo out?? WTF=????

japanese only play SSE, here is my hope, cos sakurai said that in SSE you are ble to unlock MOST of charact, most not all... so maybe playing normal ssbb you wil have more than 35... it's soon to confirm 35 characters.. so.. where is wolf?

There was a thread about the leaks, and it had a picture of a SSE progress menu and the characters, it was only 59 percent with all the characters revealed so far (excluding WW link)! Who knows, maybe the guy who leaked the 35 roster ,left out a few, or maybe it was a fake prophet who got miserably close the the real roster . We can only hope, but it seems very likely.

What defines a "good" roster? Does it mean the characters are balanced and fun to play with and against eath other, or are you only concerned with impressive numbers?

i dont mind the 35 character list but i bet theres some hidden characters that can be unlocked that aren't in SSE. like through number of matches and stuff like that. im banking on 5 more newcomers to even out newcomers and vets

I say both, but I'd be more concerned about the number of characters.

That 35th character can be anything...

I mean if it's taking that long to get... It has to be something special, not something we are all expecting..

...WHAT IF THERE IS NO 35TH CHARACTER??!?1!1?!!?

Did anyone consider that Wolf (if he is the final character) may be dependent on Time played, or matches played?

Calm down people

Actually I did (and still do) hate the Melee roster. I was just commenting that for a guy who seems to thought of everything, Sakurai seems to be negligent in some important areas.

I've considered that for more than just Wolf. In fact, I believe it was revealed in Famitsu that characters were going to be unlocked through a bunch of ways.

...and here I though most of this topic was actually about Wolf's exsistance in SSBB. Really, its just another "I love/hate the roster" topic.

And yes, I did read all the posts. The number of actual Wolf posts are exceeded by the general roster posts.

I'm starting to believe there is no 35th character but he could probably just be unlocked in a weird way.

I find it absolutely hilarious that everyone uses 2 arguments for the roster:
"WHY WOULD HE PUT IN ROB INSTEAD OF A GOOD CHARACTER?"
"WHY WOULD HE TAKE OUT MEWTWO?"

Seriously? Is that it? Is that REALLY all you have to offer for an argument? No, this roster is amazing. 35 is an average number, and I'll give you that, it should have been above average. HOWEVER, don't sit there and ***** about the Roster as a whole. Mewtwo and ROB, two characters. That's TWO characters. Okay, so have you forgotten how excited you all got when you saw that Sonic would be introduced? Or how about Snake, or Olimar, or Lucas, or Pokemon Trainer?

Cold hard facts: few--if any-- are disappointed in the roster. What people are disappointed in is the fact that the very last characters to be introduced, ROB and apparently Wolf, weren't who THEY wanted as the final choices. If ROB and Wolf weren't in the game, people would be complaining about the next to last character to be introduced. Or if ROB and Wolf had been released before say, Olimar, people would complain that Olimar isn't a good character to put in Brawl.

Uhhh... I don't think I said ANY of those things? I don't think it's a stretch to say that the roster could be better.

I don't think it would make sense if Wolf weren't in the game... The roster would line up in some areas, and be way off in others. I'd just love to see him on there, personally. Who knows, maybe the challenge is because he actually isn't a clone?
The guy with the ga,e could just start 1-stock matches and jump off with fox, repeatedly. Took me like an hour to get game and watch when I accidentally deleted my save data.

I was dissappointed but you know what, not a one of us would be disappointed if he left out sonic and snake until just now.

Doubt that. Everyone would flip over Sonic, and whine and whine over snake. "WTF he wasn't supposed to be in! we never guessed him! he r a playstation character!1! BOMBERMAN (who would be a terrible character, in my opinion) SHOULD BE IN! KRATOS!"

The people trying to apologize for ROB amuse me.

Okay, I'm going to stop being a jerk about this.
Whats done is done, the roster is still pretty good looking at the other chars.

I'm pretty sure a lot of them have been pulling all nighters and would have recieved Wolf by now if it was time based. If it exceeds 20hours though, I will be really surprised about unlocking him.
