I'm in need of a wireless Game Cube controller, but because I'd prefer a new one, I don't want to get a WaveBird; I've also heard that the 3rd party variety aren't that great either. So I was wondering if there was a device with one end plugged into the GC/Wii (like a WaveBird), with a normal GC plugged into something to transmit the signal to the console (if that makes sense). If there isn't such an accessory, then what is the best wireless controller?

None that I know of, but I'm perfectly happy with my WaveBird

Okay, I guess I'll just have to settle with a used Wavebird. Does anyone else have any input?

Nintendo stopped shipping Wavebirds to retail stores back in 08, so you may have trouble finding used/old ones.

Try online. (i.e. eBay or Amazon)

Well, both of them are 3rd party... and from what I played with, there isn't a 3rd party GCN controller that got the joystick right. Mind you, I've never tried those specific ones, but I doubt it would be any different.

Try a local pawn shop or something? Or even sometimes a local EBgame/Gamestop, or local game store. I know my local game stores has some; I bet yours has too, but you probably have to ask since they're probably not on display...
