Will you still be playing the 3DS version when the Wii U version comes out?

i ride the train a lot. usually 40+ minutes at a time. the number of these trains with a wii u installed on them is zero.

this is a lot of time for smash 3ds.

Yes, although not as much as I will before the Wii U version launches. I imagine the 3DS version will be mostly relegated to those lengths of time I have outside waiting for something. At home, I can't see myself touching it much at all.

Definitely. My brothers will all be getting it, and they live two towns over. Plus one of them loves Kirby Air Ride, and Smash Run is like a godsend to the little guy.

I'm waiting for the Wii U version first as its the definitive smash console experience mixed in with nostalgia and vibrant HD graphics. After I unlock all characters and stages on the wii u then I will play the 3ds on the go

Actually you can. You can buy a car plug outlet adapter just play on the game pad. We do it when we go down the shore sometimes!

For me personally I don't really play games when in not home, the few exceptions being trips so I imagine once I can get the Wii u version my 3ds version will be reserved for cons and road trips.

Wii U at home, 3DS version away from home. I use public transport a lot, so I will be playing both versions extensively even after both have been released.

I'm a student, I plan on getting 3ds and smash 3ds first and I have only saved about $220 and I only get like $40 a month
So if I have to save up for the wii U + smash wii u that would take like 9-10 months
how sad

Probably will rarely play the Smash 3DS version except on certain occasions when I can't play the Wii U version.

I'm imagining my life will be:

Get up early to play SSB4U
Travel to work, playing SSB43DS
Work, sneak in SSB43DS whenever I can, on breaks and such.
Travel home, play SSB43DS
Exercise, eat dinner, etc.
Play SSB4U until bed.
Repeat for 3 years.
Return to Smashboards to begin Smash 5 speculation.

Yes, but when I go out, I'm rarely playing games. I'm usually focused on what I'm out for, like friends, work, errands, or whatever.
I can only see myself portably Smashing outside the house in super specific occasions when I'm in a long car ride or waiting a super long line, both of which I rarely do. I suppose during break at work too but that's only like 15-30 minutes at a time (and why would I bring my 3DS to work?...).
I won't abandon it, but the Wii U version will most likely take up most of my time when I'm home, which is all the time. Off-TV Play is a dream.

Yeah. I have a pretty busy lifestyle and I cannot take the Wii U on the go. I will prefer the Wii U version for obvious reasons but the 3DS is still a viable option for me. Plus, we still don't know how will both versions will interact with one another.

Well the Wii U version will get the majority of the playtime but I'm sure I'll find a little bit of time for the 3DS version here and there.
