Not sure if there is a thread for this already, but I'm curious, will you? I'm only asking because, since I joined I noticed many people prefer C-Sticking than using actual buttons, and I have not found out about this technique until after a couple months ago, and I completely understand when people here are upset due to the Circle Pad Pro not being supported.

I'm also asking because the Wii U version is incredibly beautiful in comparison to the 3DS; it also might include more stages, game modes, trophies, etc. That the 3DS doesn't have to offer.

So basically the only pro side of the 3DS version is that it's portable. But I'm just here to ask, will you still be playing it?

I spend more than 50% of my waking time away from my Wii U, so it is great to have Smash as an option no matter where I go. It's really an easy game to just pick up and play.

Probably the reason why I'm not getting the 3ds version. When the wii u game comes out I can't see myself playing the 3ds game seriously. Control s are too different. I'll just consume all the info and game play till then : )

Why would you not?

While the Wii U is TECHNICALLY portable, it's not completely (as it needs a power source, lugging around, etc).

When home, absolutely I will probably prefer to play on the Wii U from that point on.

But while at another location, in the bathroom, outside, at an event I don't want to be at, riding passenger in a vehicle, or while using the Wii U for Netflix/Youtube/Anime, I will be playing on the 3DS still.

Nope. 3DS version will essentially be dead to me once the wii u version is out. Its the reason why im not upgrading my 3ds for a game i wont be playing 3 months from now.

Heck yeah! I live away from home and my Wii U, so the 3DS will be my only way to play Smash for 2/3 of the year. Also, my father usually sleeps on the couch in the room that my Wii U is in, so I'll play 3DS when he retires for the night.

I live a life where I don't really need portability, so the 3DS version will be touched very rarely once the Wii U version is out.

I work a job where I can wind up sitting for an hour or two before or after a shift, so... yep I'm gonna keep playing it. Country club work is weird.

SAY

say what...I need to hear a reason why lol
Because the 3DS version is a full fledged game and I don't care about HD grafficks or local multiplayer. Plus, the 3DS player base will be much bigger.

"lol"

Considering that I willingly share my Wii U with my brothers, yes I will still be playing the 3DS version when the Wii U version comes out, that's for sure. And besides, I basically treat both versions as different Smash Bros. games given the content is mostly different. Being able to play Smash Bros. wherever I go, regardless of circumstances is truly amazing! :kirby:

Didn't Nintendo say something about that both versions would work together in some sort of fashion?

But yes, I'll be playing both as I do not spend a lot of time at home.

Even though I lug around my tv and consoles just to play smash wherever I go extremely often, the ability to always play smash and hone my skills or just enjoy myself can't be understated.

I'm out of my house 50 - 60 % of my day so 3ds will be an amazing thing to have with me. But once I get home I'm going to play WiiU immediately.

It's this simple: When the Wii U version is out, that will take up most of my gameplay when I'm at home. Because by the time it is out. I have had at least two months of playing the 3DS version also at home (Enough time where I've probably unlocked every character, and played through Classic & All-Star with each of them)

But when I'm away from home which I am frequently at certain days. Then of course I'm playing the 3DS version some more. Smash on the go, and Smash at home. That's the main appeal of getting both.

The 3ds will be my only version. Bigger playerbase and portable is better than hd IMO lol

I don't find smash run all that great i rather play it in HD with better controls. 3ds will be only on the go for me.

My head can't understand how people despise the gift of a PORTABLE SMASH!!!

So yep.

Probably sice I don't have a Wii U yet. But of course when ever I am out I can still play Smash Bros on my 3ds and enjoy Wii U version at home.

I have the Wii U set up so I can play from my bed (no TV unfortunately), so chances are I'll just play the Wii U version, with the 3DS version reserved for long car trips.

Oh yeah. I probably won't prefer the 3DS version, but it will always have that little charm. Also, none of my friends have Wii Us, so to play them online I'll have to use the 3DS.

I'd like to see the 3ds version applied to making less formal and intimidating competitive variety, such as tournaments in public places like a shopping mall. Or, inspired by How I Met Your Mother's drunk train, my favorite idea yet is doing a Smash Train. Tell everyone to be at a particular station at the same time, or update folks via twitter which station to hop on late, and just ride the train back and forth across the city all night. Best part is, if you get off at the same stop, you don't even have to pay (depending on how your local metro rail works at least)

Uh, most likely I will. Probably just on the go after the Wii U version is released. Unless I miss a 3DS only stage and go back to play it.

I don't have a Wii U at the moment so yeah. I'll play the 3DS version the most even if I own the Wii U game.
