Will updates continue on the US/Euro Dojo after Brawl is released in Japan?

So far, every country's Dojo has been receiving more or less the same daily updates every day (With a few exceptions, such as that music thing on the Japanese Kirby FS update). However, once the game is released in Japan, what will Sakurai do then? Will he be willing to have updates just for the non-Japanese Dojo pages? I could see Sakurai potentially allowing two weeks worth of extra updates for the US release, but I doubt he'll commission extra months worth of updates for the god-knows-when European release date. Your thoughts?

This is an interesting question. He's mentioned before that he's well aware that all the secrets will be out once the game is released anyway, so he might as well announce as much as he can on the DOJO. I don't see the updates happening after the Japanese release, myself.

I have a feeling he'll do what he did last time, and just reveal everything. Or transform the Dojo or something to a normal website, as opposed to a blog.

What I think is more likely, though, is him to stop updating like a week in advance to the Japanese release (On ALL sites), then revealing everything a week or so later.

Or something.

Most likely. Its not only to show what new things there are. But a long time from now when sombody checks the website it will be the completed Brawl website. All the characters, Musics, stages, items, ect. I bet that nintendo won't stop making these until there satisfied that a new player knows everything about Brawl when they check the website.

I actually have a feeling he might just stop updating the site once the Japanese one is released, then once America gets the game, he does a huge update to the site like he will do the Japanese one. Then once Europe gets it, the same thing. :)

I think he'll start giving the japanese different updates then the rest of the world. Just give them a few pointers on how to beat certain things or unlock them. But in the American and EU sites he gives normal item and stage sort updates

"You may be already playing the game, but we'll be having more updates! In your face, Japanese!"

No Internet?!?
No point in revealing everything on each site after their own releases. We'll already know it all by then, nobody will really bother checking the same thing twice.

And seeing as though Super Mario Galaxy is released On November 14th in America, and November 16th here, I don't think we'll have that long for Brawl after America.

As long as the European translators take advantage of the American delay to get everything done in time.

Why does everybody assume the updates will stop when the games are released? I really don't see the updates stopping until every single thing is on the site.

Just because we'll know everything when the game is released doesn't mean someone who doesn't visit sites like these or has the game will. They will want to check smashbros.com to see if the game is right for them. Maybe a casual (casual = doesn't visit sites like this) wants to check out a stage or an item "in-depth" so they'll visit smashbros.com.

Why would Sakurai (and the translators) stop updating the sites? What purpose would it hold?

I don't think everything will be instantly revealed after the Japanese release, nor do I think updates would just stop. Chances are the site will remain as a guide to the game, and updates will continue as normal.

Really?

didn't they continue for awhile after Melee's release?
I don think they will, but it's something to think about.

Just wanted to correct you really quick. It ships Nov 11th in America and can be purchased Nov 12th.

Just to stay on topic: I think that Lucas is a great replacement for Ness and I'm sorry to say it, but I don't think Ness will return unless he's an alternate costume. I feel for you Ness players. But just think of it this way, Lucas is Ness but just looks different.

I think the site will keep updating for a while, maybe less frequently or something. One way or another I'm pretty sure we'll see all the hidden characters added, maybe once a week or so.
