What are the chances well be seeing another Forbidden four kinda deal?

Mewtwo, Ridley, Wolf, and Lucas would probably be my guess for this one. I was actually kinda surprised by how many people would have loved Lucas to make a return, I didn't know he had such a vocal fan group.

Depends on the cascade of the files. it will determine who got worked in what order. If there really are characters on there that weren't finished on time despite the game being released in "summer" it will only cause another avalanche of salty proportions.

Example: Ganondorf was the last character added in Melee and got Falcon's moveset due to being similar in size and build.

If that were the case, there would be Capcom levels of outrage. More so if its not free for some window of time.

I just saw that patch thread, not sure what it does exactly but if it can patch in new stuff then cool.

I wouldn't doubt that the filesystem might give us insight into potential time-locked / downloadable content. Mario Kart 8 had files suggesting sixteen DLC tracks and eight colors of Yoshi / Shy Guy, and look what ended up happening there.

If there are unfinished characters locked away in the coding, I'm pretty damn sure Ice Climbers will be one of them. They were unique so I see Sakurai TRYING to implement them in the game, but just failing to find a way to make them work on the 3DS version.

Others would probably be Wolf, Dixie (again), possibly Snake, and possibly Mewtwo

Unless there's DLC, then they'll just be unfinished temporarily.

It's not fall until the 21st. The game came out in summer in Japan.
