I found this thing right here http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Gamecube-PC-USB-Adapter-Converter/dp/B0009VM05S

And I was wondering if anyone knows if the driver will still work on Windows 7. I just tried to install the driver for my 360 wireless receiver thing (which was intended for XP, much like the adapter I found), but it incompatible and Microsoft hasn't released an update because they discontinued the standalone product.

Yes it will work I have one almost like it. Its Blue-ish with sockets for ps2/ps, gc, and Xbox. Just use the vista drivers if your using Windows 7. It should come with a disc with the drivers on it. Don't use XP Drivers, there is a high chance your computer won't recognize it. I used this one to play ssbm on my pc with the dolphin emulator.Works really well, but sadly there outta stock. The only difference was mines was from Mayflash

Thanks for the feedback guys, but I think its too much trouble at this point. I do want to try to get my 360 controller working though. Has anyone had success with using the 360 controller when its plugged into your PC via the charging cable you can buy? Chain-ace said he got it to work, but nothing detected it. Anyone else have better luck?

I actually already have one, but the driver is incompatible with Windows 7 and Microsoft didn't feel like releasing any updates for it because they decided to stop selling the adapter alone and instead package it with a nice 50 dollar controller. That's the whole reason I started looking for a Gamecube USB adapter in the first place.

Well clearly you have cheated. When I put in the install CD it flat out told me that it was incompatible with windows 7.
